I started plant exclusive in 2020 and at the same time became completely bedridden for over a year. I lost 70 lbs without exercise. It was all I could do to shower and go to the bathroom. I'm just now starting to be able to get up and move more but I have the advantage of the past years eating clean so i have a clear brain and I feel amazing emotionally. I was also able to go from dozens of medications to 2 meds now. Linzess was one of the one's I was able to stop. I encourage anyone who's thinking if I can't exercise there's my excuse to not do this. This is the best way to eat ever!!

“Bring your “A” game,” I couldn’t have said it better myself 👊🏼 When I get overwhelmed with aromas, destructive choice that will do me harm, I think about that hibernating turtle in the back yard of a previous guest, tuck into my shell of perfection and hit my dense green wraps, garlic, lime. Maybe even a few grapes. Next thing I know, I’m clear-headed and only seeing harmful choices as a spectator. Dying is a spectator sport. Living is an action movie. I make decisions from places of strength. I also keep a couple individually-wrapped prunes in my pocket in case I just can’t handle myself. I haven‘t had to pop one of those in a a couple months (not getting cocky). They’re all-the way dry so I consider them drugs but other than the Flat Out bread I use for my dense green wraps, dried fruits are the worst junk/drugs I’ll allow in my mouth and they’re for emergencies only. My wraps are dense like BRASS knuckles (with a Walnut). I hope you’re all doing super-well. Consistency is King 👑

Another observation: Dr Lisle mentioned Substance Abuse Disorder during his discussion on borderline personality Q & A. Abbreviated it is SAD, just like Standard American Diet. There seems to be a correlation here.

I have just beenwatching this and see that it starts in a few hours. The price is so great and mustbe MORE than worth it. But I just don`t have any spare money this month so I really hope I can catch it the next time as I am struggling to keep off the 50 pounds I have lost on WFPB and still need to loose 15 more. Hope to see you in the futbre 😩

Hey Pam, same boat here....and it's so not a bad price, just bad timing financially! 😆 But I'm glad to know about this reboot and am sure she will do it again. In the meantime, you and I can go ahead and get back on track each time we eat a meal. No matter how many slip ups, I will keep coming back. I know this is the answer I've been looking for my whole life! Truth resonates... Goodluck to you, too. We can both do this, we have proof in front of us that it's possible. Ain't hope grand?? 💜

@@gailhenley4230 Hi Gail. I agree. I have lost 50 pounds this way and kept it off for 3 years but I have Tone both up and down from that by about 5 pounds in that time. Up when I travel and actually down during the first lockdown for Covid as I only stayed home and age my own food - no temptations 🤣. I have now come to accept that I need to up my game somehow in order to lose the last 15 pounds and keep my weight stable.

I m so off track with the chips and the wine since this summer w visitors and just sitting around . But I still cook SOS and all vegan. It is that pleasure trap of wine and chips . I do make some of my own lo fat no salt chips and salsa but when I go to other homes I just fall into that trap again. I am doing better now that the relatives have gone and dont have these goodies in the house. This is my self destructive behaviour. It is an addiction. Darn.

All the pantry staples like rice, beans, lentils are so economical. And at the end of the day, none of the produce is more expensive than paying the doctors bills and medications.

I have followed Chef AJ and Drs Goldhamer and Lisle for a while and although I haven’t taken this particular reboot, I am fairly certain they will discuss “the pleasure trap” and how added salts and sugars suppress our satiety cues and trigger us to overeat....and how to navigate that :)

Chef A.J. doesn't eat breakfast. She says to only eat when hungry, not when the clock says to.

It’s not required but it is recommended that you include non-starchy vegetables at every meal

The only vegetable I can eat for breakfast is canned pumpkin. I just follow Chef A.J. & don't eat breakfast anymore . 2 meals a day & 2 snacks & I'm good now. For me it really matters to eat foods low in calorie density, not how many times a day u eat. I did intermittent fasting but was eating foods higher in calorie density & gained 15 lbs. The intermittent fasting didn't help at all.

Can I do a potato only diet during the 30 days or will I be missing the point of what you are offering?
@CHEFAJ2 жыл бұрын
I don’t recommend it because you’re missing the most important food there is to help you with weight loss and overcome cravings which is greens
@FirebreathingVegan12 жыл бұрын
In my experience, I lose weight so fast on potatoes only vs allowing all the other plant based foods including vegetables. It's boring and meant to be boring and personally, I don't think it does a good job of teaching you how to transition to a diet that helps you maintain the loss.
@CHEFAJ2 жыл бұрын
Yes you would be missing the point. As Dr. Fuhrman says " If what you do to lose weight you cannot do forever" it is of no use. The way I teach you to eat for weight loss is how I still eat for weight maintenance and how my thin husband eats for health and longevity.
@jgrysiak6566 Жыл бұрын
U gotta eat the vegetables! They really fill u up for the least amount of calories. I carry canned green beets & jarred beets in my car for mid afternoon snacks. The only way fruit fills u up is if it's really sweet. Their sweetness curbs the hunger.

Looking at the replay comments. Someone asked if anyone else found marshmallows on the shelves. I have to admit, that I have half a bag of vegan mini marshmallows, half! Caught, red handed! sad. another learning experience. If it's in your house, it's in your mouth. You'd think that after 9 years, I'd know better by now.
