MAN THE GAME | The classic, unbeatable, set the tone and standard for everything to come. MAN THE GAME 2 | This thing really got the ball rolling, it set up a bunch of plot points for MTG3, and the two men’s rapport is brilliantly written. MAN THE GAME 3 | The climactic finale to an amazing saga, tied up all but one loose end, gave a thematically resonant and well deserved end to our three heroes, dynamic gameplay is an understatement. MAN THE GAME ORIGINS | Controversial in the MTG fandom, tbh I like it. I can see where the haters are coming from. I, too can barely stand the edgy nigh grimdark writing stylings present throughout the first three quarters of the game (screw you head writer Graham Rightor), but sprinkled throughout the flanderized characters and monotonous questlines, there are some actually good character interactions and touching quests that were probably the only parts Graham didn’t have time to get his grubby little fingers into and ruin like the rest of Axel’s work, and even the avid haters of this game can’t deny the ending of the game was incredible, and in my opinion, worth slogging through the unpolished bits of the game to get to. The game would’ve been 80% better if they had appointed literally anyone else to finish writing the storyline after Axel Lee-Goodwright died besides fucking RIGHTOR, it had potentially they just completely squandered. MAN THE GAME 4 IN SPACE | It’s like they took an actually pretty good game and then added 7 different boring ones on top of it. “This game is far too long. Why didn’t they just remove everything except for the Earth and Moon parts, those are the only things actually enjoyable to play in it.” Seems to be the consensus among the fans nowadays. Though I think a few Mars quests are nice, and that one Venus quest is just out of this world (pun intended), for the most part, everything outside of Earth and Luna are just snoozefests. The mini games are jarring, completely inconsistent, incoherent, unnecessary, and disconnected, and if they removed all of it, it’d be for the better. MAN THE GAME REMASTERED EDITION | Just… exactly what I expected it would be, no better, no worse. It’s a fine experience, if a bit unnecessary, but seeing the cities rendered in 4K is neat, and Tori Voysac did a great job as Woman, I hope she continues playing her in the sequels. MAN THE GAME 2 REMASTERED EDITION | Just like the previous remaster, but worse. Bugs out the wazoo, laggy controls, stilted voice acting, the works. The bad voice acting is strange because I’ve heard Julio Vox’s other works and he’s great! Guy Maine was fine in the original remaster too, but in this, he sounds robotic. What happened? MAN THE GAME ONLINE | They tried to cash in on a fad, and it didn’t completely suck, even if it backfired economically. A relatively enjoyable experience, if you even get to play it considering how few active players there are. MAN THE GAME 3 REMASTERED EDITION | Just like the first game’s remaster, it’s exactly everything I suspected it would be, no better, no worse. It was really cool to see the END BEAM in 4K tho. MAN THE GAME 5 A RUPTURE IN TIME | Everyone’s really worried about it, but despite the rumours, I have high hopes! They’ve had a while to stew on what made the original trilogy work and what didn’t work in the spin-offs and 4, and I really like the concept art for the character revamps. The time bending mechanics look fun as hell too. I can’t wait for this to come out in 2029!

Feels like I will never understand the hate around MTG4. The writing is so peak, and the game plays like a glorified shitpost while having its own unique gameplay charm. I absolutely adore the completely nonsensical QTE minigames, they just add so much to how little the game takes itself seriously. The quest to stop Man's investment portfolio from reaching the Moon will probably stand as the best in MTG history. I think Graham really found his strengths in this one, it feels like this was a style he was really comfortable with compared to whatever Origins was. It's a shame he was fired too soon, I kind of liked him. I thought most of the planets were good too, everyone complains about some of the stuff in Mars and Venus but I thought there were pretty good, and the endgame in Uranus was top-notch. Jupiter and Saturn, though, yeah, they can go to hell.

Played this game as a kid and it marked me forever. Cant believe its finally getting the recognition it deserves!!! My personal favorite is probably Man The Game WorldTour just for the variety it offered at its time, i remember just playing 91492 manly hours a day and never getting bored. Overall 999/10 franchise would probably play one of his other games again

Why do i have this feeling like man the game takes inspiration from the sonic the hedgehog series for example, man 2 has a sidekick while man 3 has a opposing person

Fun fact: The neighbor NPC Man talks to at the beginning of act 1 is actually Katya's father from the hit movie, Goncharov, hinting at their shared universe. Can't wait to see how deep the lore connections go!

man the game 3 its always gonna be my favorite one, there's something so good about the story and the bosses, the asian man boss alone its perfection, then there's the fat guy boss, the way he reveals he was actually strong man its so cinematic, like the way he ripps out his shirt and reveals the minitools in his body making him strong af is pure peak gaming

Imagine Nintendo releasing Mario Life, were it's Mario and Luigi doing their day to day plumbing jobs. You unclog drains, fix toilets, crawl under houses, get to the next client. Basically the Mario movie. XD

Man the game origins way back was a short but still pretty good character building sim. 9/10 I still think it could be a little longer.

Real fans know what this franchise used to be, with MtG 3 being the absolute pinnacle, the gameplay, the story, the lack of micro transactions. After that, they leaned too heavily on DLCs, RPG systems, supernatural stuff, souls like aesthetics and generally forgot their roots. Man, I still sometimes boot up the first trilogy just to remind myself of the good times!

I am friend with one of the OG developer of this game back then and was one of the of the Play tester and i'm telling you guys, the amount of weird bugs and glitches in this game was so cool, it's a shame they have to cut them out..

Y’all remember that time they tried to do an edgey reboot for teenage audiences back in the early 2010’s? It was called man ham aslume or something like that and it was just kinda freaky. Especially that crow level.
