Can do stuff no problem in training, then go into games and get the weirdest shit, it's like my controller is possessed. In reality I know my brain is doing different stuff in games than in practice but I just can't figure out why :(

I think this is a pretty universal experience. Your mental stack is just way more full in an actual match so you end up flubbing. Gets even worse in tournaments. But it’s one of those things that just passively gets better over time as you play more and more. You can’t really training room your way out of it it you just gotta play hella matches.

@@dontgetgrabbed That makes sense. I guess I just need to focus on not getting tilted when I keep getting input errors. Logically I know the issue is mine, but emotionally the tilt comes on anyway and I end up having to take a break from the game and feeling bad about it. I'm my own worst enemy haha

rad to see guile, he's fun to watch! and big mood on the colour situation. where i am, sf6 base costs $119.95, which is utterly eye watering. if an american friend hadn't gifted me a copy, i wouldn't be able to play, and that's the situation for many people where i live. i would like colours, and to buy the season pass, but i also just can't fuckin understand what gets you what from the description. the year one character pass is $48.96 here, which is multiple meals, and the year 1 ultimate pass is *$88.94*. The *SOUNDTRACK* is $53.30 i've been saving up drive tickets very carefully to get colours which has been an agonizingly slow process but the fact there's also a season pass thing in game that seems separate from the character and year passes is so i'm simply too tired to understand what they're talking about and dont want to buy the wrong thing, so they will miss out on my money lmao

Its crazy how much more fun to watch this game is when I know I can play it, been struggling trying to get the game to work on my pc and kept getting “fatal system error” which would crash everything if I went online. After fiddling with fps caps, % of gpu usage and some other crazy shit I finally got it to work albeit moving the error to my second monitor

When the game released I would receive a crash error after entering a lobby. If I just moved the crash message to another screen without pressing the confirmation button on it the game would just run fine. Weird.

@@bodacious12 same thing happened to me, it was too late to refund the game cause I didn’t realize when it crashed a “crash report” would open and it counted as play time so I was driven by spite to figure this out

Light flashkick is the most vertical and more likely to beat butt slam but you have to be planted to hit it consistently. Crouch HP can work but you have to hit it a bit earlier.. too late and you get clapped by his cheeks. Also f hk beats JPs command grab. He just whiffs

As someone who tips his toes in both types of games, you're 100% correct! Traditional fighter people: arbitrary only approve of slow spacing back and fourth as the only """honorable""" and ""honest"" way of playing a fighting game and often look down on others for diverging away from that play style, often hyper fixating on "footsies" Smash bros people: take the usual rushdown favoritism found in most FGC communities and turn that up to 11, up to the point that what the FGC player would describe as footies, the smash player would describe as "lame" and "campy", the smash playerbase's hyper fixation is on speed

Based on all the manons I beat going from D1 to D2 as Luke: stop randomly doing the spin slide move and stop randomly hitting DI midscreen. Also never go for grab cus as soon as I block something I'm holding up back on you.

My friends and I have an ongoing discussion about whether Guile is top tier or not but I think because he either loses to all the really top characters like JP and Cammy or even like Ken it’s hard to say he’s top

Just depends on the context of the game, a character like Peach in Melee does really well against a majority of the mid and lower tiers but can have a rough time against some of the better characters because she dies off the top easily. It's certainly not as common in newer games but it's not impossible

I'm posting a comment only like 1/3rd of the way through, but I wish they'd just remove honda til season 2, when they hopefully make him fun to play/fight against. I see a lot less of them now, but it's crazy how much of a fun-sucker he is. Also I've never seen so many whiffed flashkicks. I need to know the secret to that, because any guiles I fight "crosscut" properly, and it rarely ever whiffs like yours do.

For the people talking about the price of the colors Money shouldn't be an issue, the game sold almost 2 million copies, if not more That's at least 120 million dollars I'm not an specialist when it comes to AAA games, but I'm pretty sure the budget for this game was way below the 100 million mark
