Love this. Going into stores makes me feel so overwhelmed, I used to love it and get lost in it, spend hours in a store.. but, now, my alone time looks like curling up in bed on my phone and watching videos. It’s weird how our lives change over the years.

Or try going in for things in one department at a time, per day. Leave a different department for a different day. I think covid really changed things, and stressed our lives....we are still recovering.....🌞

Same. When you're my age and with all I have to do, me time is wearing trackpants and reading or watching videos. I was well prepared for C-19. I've been on the internet shopping trackpants train since my mid-30s. Going out is overrated...and expensive!

(It may also involve eating an entire box of chicken chippies. I've got a me 2 days on my own and I'm doing no study or work and I turn into a male bachelor for some reason. Trackpants, leaving my cup in annoying places and eating lazy man food that involves a microwave or if I'm super motivated, frozen into oven).

I fully understand the “ me” day!! I am 58…have raised my kids (they are 27 and 20). Now I am helping to raise my two grandsons (they are 5 and 3)! There are days that I literally don’t think I’m going to survive 😳! I took a day yesterday and went thrift store shopping and took myself to lunch….yes mam, these days are definitely needed!! Stop, Breathe, and do it all over again!! 🌻

I also have an obsession with makeup bags/totes!! I actually bought 3 of them in 2 days looking for the right one. One from Marshalls, 2 from Amazon! LOL. Still not sure I have the right one. I also have several others! Heading to Cancun in a couple of weeks - not sure if I need any travel sized goodies, but that won't stop me from looking! Girl! You posted this while I was teaching and I saw the notification pop up. Had to hold myself back from crawling under my desk to watch it! I worked From home so when I'm off there is ALWAYS someone here. I'm alone while working but that isn't the same so once in awhile I take a weekday off so I can have the free time here! Loved this! I think it's so important to have "me" days, as a Mom, as a wife, a daughter.........working hard and doing all the things. As women we are so blessed! I was bummed to see that one of the girls I'm subscribed to was left a comment saying she's Jeckyl & Hyde simply because she's a Mom and wife and went to a concert, had a blast with her friends. The commenter was putting her down for letting her hair down and having fun, implying a "Mom" isn't allowed to have fun or have a night out and doing so somehow makes her Jeckly & Hyde? WOW. Your comparison of the two nearby Targets being so different from one another really cracked me up because it’s so true! I live closer to the fugly Target, but the nicer Target is only like 7 mins away up the street, yet I tend not to go to that one because it’s near some freeway construction that makes getting over there a pain in the neck! Also it seems like every Target shoe department had a bomb go off in it! I can never find my size shoe, or I only find one of the shoes that are part of the pair, or only ginormous/bitty shoe sizes. Kids shoes mixed with adults, and so on, lol! 😂❤

For a Starbucks drink that's less sweet, I get a grande iced coffee, no classic. But then add the pumpkin cold foam. It adds just a hint of sweetness!

Similar -- I almost always get a decaf iced americano (decaf because heart issues and can't do a lot of caffeine) with a splash of either half & half or heavy cream. The milk/creams adds a tad of sweetness, but not a lot of calories or sugar. :)

At the end when you said "hidey-hoo" I thought you were going to devolve into a fit of The Giggles and never recover. And that thought reminded me of the Infamous Book Review video In Which Jess & Tyler Devolve into Fits of Laughter and Almost Never Recover! lol
