As an installer of these buildings for over 15years its still interesting to see how other crews work. Most of the crews i wprked with we flipped all the frame bows on the ground once one side was fastened down just makes things move a bit quicker. Im about 5 min it but i sure how they put in the center braces at somepoint! Unless theres no snow in you area even then i would still want those center braces haha

That extra sheet that you had installed came with your kit it is basically used as a guard for the other sheets so they don't get scratched by the metal and they charged you an additional $100 for it. Very nice carport I'm having one installed myself just for my car 12x21

I'm a structural engineer and I'd say by the looks of the steel frame sizes, this structure is designed only to be an open sided carport building. If you fully clad the sides, there may be an issue with excessive wind load across the building. Just something for you to check with the manufacturer, before you close it in.

They spent lots and lots of time on that center cap. It decided the rest of roof, both sides. Once they got it, the rest went quickly. I had to edit lots and lots out to keep it under 2 hours long ha

too late now, but something I learned from a van dweller video (can't remember whose) is when using self tapping metal screws, hit the trigger a couple of quick bursts and then full power. They will drive through much easier. I don't know why, not have I personally tried it yet.

You did good on your RV garage! Keeps the heat...snow..lol...it is a process putting one up! I video my built too! The thousand of acorns this year falling from oak tree would have damaged my new Navion. Higher is better like yours. I can stand up and wash roof..but at my age I use a medevac harness secured to rafters! They did a good job!! Your neighbor in Atlanta.

My old highschool gymnasium was build like yours but with reinforced concrete pillars, about six on each side fifteen feet apart. It was open with no walls. A category 4 typhoon hit our place, lifted the whole structure from the ground and slammed it down like pancakes. The next structure built in its place didn't look anything like the destroyed one, it looked like a concrete warehouse, quite expensive to keep cool in the summer but it just laughs at the storms that passes by every so often.

I have one of them on my property they put it up fast but I don't have your clearance. The structure is tough made it through a few hurricanes. It is low other objects around here take the brunt of the wind so it does not get the full force from that wind. The shade on the cars is a blessing to get in a car that is not radiating heat in the summer is a bonus. Amazing how 2 guys can do all that.

Prior to anchoring the frame to the concrete floor, it would be wise to spray the tube steel with rust-oleum undercoating. This will prevent corrosion from taking place to the steel, thats contacting the ground.

nice, I put up one on a platform, 12x20, closed it in and put a rollup door on one end, good storage building. One problem I had was rain water running down the bottom side of the roof dripping inside even with those end pieces on it, if it by running a bead of caulking on the underside of the roof all the way across both ends about half way from the frame to the edge, that fixed it. Just mentioned this in case you have the same thing happen.

I would put a bevel of some type on both ends of the concrete so when you drive your vehicles on and off you don't crack the edges of the concrete. Or keep the dirt and gravel even or a tad above the concrete to take the weight. That's a very nice canopy, will last a long time.

Campervan Kevin ... Although not solid maybe consider black mesh screen along the vehicle entrance side from the roadway. It would help block sight from inquiring neighbors, help direct rain flow a bit, it will not rust and it will not trap as much smoke from your evening fires as adding solid sheets. And the breeze would be pleasant. If you really want to block sight even more just double the mesh. That was our choice when someone bought property adjacent to ours and added an inground pool within inches of the property line. We had to deal with Police and Lawyers but during that slow process they became harassing and louder, plus often some of our things would be moved, broken or missing. We used double black mesh screening to have as much privacy as possible on our deck, gazebo and hot tub. I also bought 7 'fake' security cameras and installed them everywhere, obviously in plain sight. (They had battery powered blinking lights.) As per local code they had to remove their in ground pool, one corner was actually 'ON' our property. One morning they were gone - skipped out in the middle of the night. They solved our problem plus we were friendly with local Police so next residents often saw Police cars in our driveway, officers on patrol would stop by if we were outside. Never had another issue with any neighbors, everyone was pleasant and respectful of all neighbors. (I saw your sign regarding surveillance cameras. We actually had similar signs. Very wise.)

I got a 32 wide by 36 ft deep. It's a 20 ft wide x 36 long - 12 ft high with a 12 ft wide lean to on the side that goes down to 8 ft tall. All side walls are closed. That lean too really helps stabilize it in the wind. I have my 33 ft travel trailer under the main section. All the other stuff parks under the lean too. Really good investment.

Very interesting. Those are hard working men & a hot job, good team work. Those sheets of of tin are heavy, sharp & awkward too handle. As I watch these guys work, our society has it all wrong. These are the ppl who should be making $$$, while those in ac offices, should be minimum wage That price sounds great, around here, the concrete alone is more than that

I am surprised there is not more bracing down the sides and across the roof (between or under the rafters). Here in New Zealand we would not get that cleared by the local council (town hall) folks. That said looks good. Yep, I like the idea of a couple of extra wall panels down the side (at least one on the left side (near the house) and one or two on the opposite side.
