@@richardhudson3357 Everything I share in every single video is exactly how each set works. Also as I explained in this video, I bought my exact Hawaii Five 0 Blu Ray set that I reviewed from the exact links that I have posted in here in this video from Amazon Germany & I have no clue what you are looking at because each disc that was included in my set loads exactly as I explained in this video asking what language you want before the main menu ever loads it gives 3 options on a black screen that you choose english & it loads the main menus in English just like the screenshots from the exact same discs & seasons that I showed in this video review. So unless your Blu Ray player is automatically defaulting the menus selection to German language all the discs on each set are printed the same way in each set. So when you first put the disc in after the CBS logo plays it will give a black screen with 3 language selections as most CBS released Blu Ray always do & it will lists out for you to choose from those 3 languages & English is the one you need to chose. This is the same setup that CBS & Paramount Studios uses on almost every single modern TV Series Blu Ray set they release with multiple language options before the main menus load. This is not something new & is the way CBS manufactures all their recent TV series Blu Ray releases. So if you are not getting this option on any of the discs in the entire Blu Ray set then your Blu Ray player is doing something incorrectly & is automatically bypassing & choosing German for you & is not loading CBS menu options as each disc has been created for & your Blu Ray player is simply not working correctly. Have you tried each disc starting with season 1? Also do you only have 1 Blu Ray player that you own or do you own another Blu Ray player from another different manufacturer? Do you currently own any other CBS Blu Ray TV series sets?

Thanks for your quick reply. Sorry for the slow response but this took awhile. I've tried in my Panasonic 4k DP-UB820 and also in my Sony 4K UBP-X800M2 both top rated players. It looks like they sent me Season 1 in German. The audio in the entire 1st Season is in German. All the other Seasons give me that English option after the CBS logo plays as you stated.. Don't really know what to do now. Any tips on how to go forward. Will they replace one season? Thanks Rich

@@richardhudson3357 So basically your comment you made originally above was completely WRONG & every season DOES have English Audio just like what I explained in this review. And simply on your season 1 disc you have to click 1 extra button to select English 5.1 Audio option for the episodes of season 1. Also are you sure you are not seeing the Hawaiian Language for the titles of the first season episodes then English under each Hawaiian episode titles? I just popped season 1 back in and it has Hawaiian titles & English titles for some of season 1 episodes, that’s the way CBS released season 1 in the USA also with the Hawaiian episode titles listed too. It’s just in this Blu Ray set you must select English audio DTS Master Audio 5.1 from the menu before you play the episodes of season 1.

My comment was not completely wrong the first season gives me no language options after the CBS logo and the disc plays audio only in German . The other 9 seasons are as you described,.you're given the language options after the CBS logo. Looks like I'll just buy the first season here in the U.S. 1 season unwatchabnle and 9 season good. We final finished all 10 seasons and loved it! While I'm not a fan of reboots I have to admit this one series is the exception. Also watching the series without commercials makes it more enjoyable. Worth it to buy this set!

Just a quick update, I'm on Season 2 and like the other sets the option to have the English menus starts here. Still don't know why CBS Video made the goof with only German menus on Season 1, but being this is Hawaii Five-0, I'm guessing Wo Fat is behind it. LOL

You will love it, it’s the biggest complete series Blu Ray set they have released yet & I love the show it has such a great cast & if you binge watch it you will see all the nuances & little backstories that they put into each character & they also tie the stories into the original series and have multi part episodes that are tying up original stories. One other thing you will love is the fact that on a couple episodes that are tied to the original series with a lot of the original cast playing their same characters, they also included completely remastered on these Blu Rays, a few episodes from the original series that are the prequels to certain episodes in this series. So they did an amazing job with the writing to honor & continue stories from the original series. So you will love all the extra things they did for this great Blu Ray set. Also it’s a massive amount of runtime so well worth the price for everything they give us I this Blu Ray set.

My set came early. I'm watching the pilot episode now. My season 1 does start with the German menus. Is it a big deal? No. Any of us who have bought foreign discs from other countries like Japan's Columbo and France's A-Team & Murder She Wrote have pretty much learn how to navigate to get to the English audio. Do I blame James for not telling us? No. I know how good this man is to us and if he says his copy of Season 1 was not like what some of us have, then I believe him. I know James can fight his own battles, but just for the record I want to state that I think some people who have complained about his review both here and on Amazon about this set are being unfair. From what I've seen and read the fault is from CBS Video if you really want to blame someone. They put out 2 versions of Season 1 on the complete set. Why? I don't know. It's just one of those things, but switching to the English audio is just hitting an extra button. No big deal. Now with that said so far the set plays nice and the picture quality is great! So far the discs are in good shape I just have a few discs that got loose in their trays but that's common when ordering blurays in the mail. Despite the changes to Season 1 this is still worth the money I paid.

I agree, in over it’s 240 episodes run it has some outstanding & fun stories. Also it has some great action without being too intense & that makes it very enjoyable to watch late at night too.

Thanks for the review I will not be picking this up as I have been through the years been getting the individual seasons on Blu-ray from Germany sounds like the only thing missing is the extra’s disc which I will have to check the last season to see if it was included

Yes if you bought each season individually the more expensive way lol!!! 😜 then the only thing you are missing out on is the extra bonus Blu Ray disc that’s exclusive to this complete series Blu ray set only. That exclusive bonus Blu Ray disc was something they created for this complete series set after they finished releasing the individual seasons so that’s why it was exclusive to this complete series set & not included in any of the individual season releases in Germany or worldwide for that matter. But otherwise you have all the episodes & that’s what matters most because this series was outstanding & very re-watchable. Who is your favorite character from this series?

Obviously had I known for sure they were going to put out this set I could’ve saved a lot of money over the years buying them individually. However at the time I was just thankful that I could get them region free especially since the US stopped at season three

Yes it’s pretty amazing how much content they included in this Hawaii Five 0 Blu Ray set & how great of a TV series it was. Not many TV series last for 10 full season & 240 episodes wow 😮 I agree with you that I wish Scrubs was also on Blu Ray, but the issues still remain that Disney owns the rights to that show & it’s extremely rare that Disney ever goes back & remasters TV series to release on Blu Ray, so I don’t really hold out any hope for Scrubs or Alias to ever be remastered & released on Blu Ray. Though I would absolutely LOVE to see both those great series on Blu Ray lol!!!

Wanna hear something funny? When I got the Hawaii Five-0 set, my wife told me to watch it alone in the bedroom because she was not a fan of the reboot. She told me she watched one episode when it was on TV and didn't like it. Anyway one day I'm in the bedroom in the middle of season 1 and she said she needed to lay down but I could at least finish the episode I was on. When it ended she said I could play the next one. To make a long story short, she is now hooked on the show because of this set and now says she wants me to wait till so we can watch it together. LOL We are on Season 3 right now. Anyway is your wife like that? Tells you she won't watch a video with you and then changes her mind? LOL

Definitely, my wife did almost the same thing when I got this show & started watching it. She said she wasn’t interested at all & then at night after I started playing it for a while she got hooked & wants to watch it with me all the time lol!!!!! I told you that this show was great! Most people simply don’t give it a few episodes but if they watch at least a few episodes it starts to grow on you & then you become hooked because the writing & the character stories & development are soo good in this series, I actually enjoyed this reboot more than the original by far & that’s extremely rare I usually hate most reboots. But I am very glad you are both enjoying this wonderful series & I knew that if you both gave it an actual season of watching you would get hooked. You both seem to like everything that me and my wife like it seems!

I think what makes this reboot great now is with this set you can watch it without commercials. When it was on tv the commercial breaks made it hard for me to focus on the show that I found myself doing other things.

Got my box set today and Season 1 had German menus no English but rest or Seasons have English menus.

So I have gotten 8 messages from people that received their Hawaii Five 0 Blu Ray boxed sets so far & 6 of them received every season in their boxed set exactly like what I received & reviewed with everything in English & Hawaiian. Only you & 1 other person have said the 1st season only didn’t seem to have an English Main Menu only but everything on season 1 plays perfectly in English audio with all the original episodes just like it should & plays perfectly fine just has a different menu for season 1 discs only & you have to select English DTS Master Audio 5.1 option before you play the episodes. I had 1 person who said the same thing originally they thought it was a German menu then they realized they didn’t select English as a menu option before it loaded they also though the Hawaiian & English Episode titles were German because they never selected English Audio option LOL 😂 So you would simply need to select the English Audio Option on season 1 main menu under “EINSTELLUNG” then play the episodes on season 1 & it will play just as it should in perfect English with no German & only in full English titles & everything as I explained in this review fully in English.

Quick question. I was going through my set again and I noticed that it doesn't have or at least I can't find it the Macguyer episode that crossesover into Hawaii Five-0. Am I right about that or did I miss it on a disc?

The titled Hawaii Five-0 episodes "Ihea 'oe i ka wa a ka ua e loku ana The episodes are located on season 10 episode 12 & special, crossover with magnum hopefully this helps you!

@@InSearchofPhysicalMedia That I found but I was wondering about the MacGuyer episode that guest starred Chin & Kono. I noticed in Season 6 I think in 50 they mention Mac & the Phoenix Foundation but the MacGuyer episode was not included in the set. Not a big deal but I thought since it was tied to 50 it would have been nice to see it since I never saw the MacGuyer reboot. The ION channel is airing the MacGyer episode tomorrow so at least I'll get a chance to see the crossover with Hawaii Five-0.

I’m so upset with Disney! They put ant man & all the Avengers movies except Assemble with total IMAX shots in all of those movies in for the entire runtimes on their service. This is totally false advertising because it says those movies are “IMAX ENHANCED” when they’re clearly not. Don’t get me wrong, I love and have all of those movies on 4K, even some on steelbook, but I really don’t see the purpose and reason to get them physically. I love and will always support physical media, trust me I will, I just don’t see a reason to pay $40 when it’s full IMAX on Disney Plus, especially when physical is a locked picture. Can you please talk about this on in a video? I am really interested to know your stance

@@popculture3394 Geez! it seems you don’t understand how great of a deal this release is & that’s it’s a full 10 seasons on Blu Ray & cost less than Andy Griffith or MacGyver cost originally & those both had 3 less seasons of content lol!!! I think sometimes people really don’t think or consider how good releases like this are really priced. Also you will be waiting indefinitely & forever 🤣 because it’s a an exclusive release the lowest it ever goes is $95, but It seems someone will find something to complain about no matter what the price is Lol 😂
