Great choices! Like your honesty and enthusiastic love of food. I’ve been to Leonard’s, Giovanni’s, and Waiola Shave Ice, but will definitely try Adela’s on the next trip. Alicia’s was closed when we went.

Adela's Braised Ribs were the best food I've ever eaten, in hawaii and elsewhere. The ube noodles were unique and delicious too. I went there because of your video and was blown away. Best Hawaiian gem.😮 I'm sad I can't get anymore, I miss it. Was tender, delicious, best pieces of meat and huuuuge portions. Just best, perfectly cooked, quality meat I've ever eaten. Just blown away. Tried a bunch of gems in hawaii. Thanks for your video, it really does the food justice. You're real and you can tell when you're really enjoying something.

Went to Hawaii in Spring 2021 to both Maui and Oahu. I would have to agree with you that Adelas was the BEST food I ate on that whole trip! That is saying a lot as there is so much good food in Hawaii. It is bit of a drive to get there from Waikiki, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. She is so creative with her dishes and everything is very, very good. I had the same thing as you with the green Moringa noodles and lechon. The portions are huge and we found a beach nearby and ate in our car. I could only eat about 25% of it before hitting my limit. She is the nicest and sweetest person you could ever meet too. Definitely will go back every on every trip to Oahu. You also hit some of the places we usually go to like Alicias and Giovannis. Great food video and hope to see more.

You hit up all the classic local spots. Killah grinds except for that hotdog. On the ahi katsu being dry, yup as far as ahi goes, once it hits the pan, no can. Ahi best raw, not cooked. If it was mahimahi, swordfish, or ono it would have been awesome. Good review, great video!

Awesome video! I really enjoy your own honest opinion on these spots. Ahi Katsu…I 1,000% agree. I have not yet tried any spots that it wasn’t dry. Next time you’re here you should try Side Street Inn, Mama Kim’s, Fat Cheeks, Feast, Papa Kurt’s, H&T burger, Egg Head & Guieb cafe. When you go to Maui….man it’s changed so much from my childhood. But definitely my go to spots growing up were…Sam Sato’s, Cupie’s Drive In, Restaurant Matsu, Minute Stop, & Tasaka Guri Guri.

Giovannis shrimp truck still the best for me.When you get a chance try makin it @ home.2 pounds fresh shrimp head on,fresh garlic,lemons,cayenne powder for extra heat,and a small amount of sprite or 7Up.If you want some dipping sauce get some Velveeta queso blanco its optional🤙🏽

The best garlic shrimp is Romys Hakuku Prawns. I tried all and Romys is hands down the best. They only service prawns on weekend if you like. Their shrimp is big and the flavors are delicious.

There's a hot joint called Lineage in Maui at a strip mall and it's very affordable. As well as in Paia at a breakfast place.

Hot tip: if you like Spicy get the Giovannis garlic scampy and ask for a side of their hot sauce to pour on...dont order their spicy shrimp cuz is not that good for some reason its made different

I give you credit for smashing all that food. You have a good appetite. You went to a couple of good places on Oahu but if you want to really know where to go then leave me a message. A lot of the places you went were probably places you find on Google and the reviews were by visitors like yourself. But I'll tell you all the good local spots. And if you're going to Maui then you have to go and try guri guri ice cream. It's the most unique and best tasting ice cream you've ever tasted. Ask any local where it is and they will tell you. I think it's still in Kahului and it's like Leonard's bakery in the sense that it's been open for at least 100 years or close to it.
