Hiking Koko Head Crater is very much like doing the stairclimber machine at your local gym. Except that you have to be climbing two steps at a time to emulate the distance between the wooden tracks and/or height of each dirt step on the hike. It's super hard! You'd have to be on the machine for like 1.5 hrs for a normal person, maybe even longer. You guys are brave! hahah! My legs were literally jello as I hit the top. I had to lay down for about 30 minutes to catch my breath. That said, I did the hike way out of shape. Went back to Hawaii after getting in shape and did the same hike in less than half the time I took the first time. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have hiked it being as out of shape as I was. I hear the local fire department does rescues on the mountain quite regularly. Enjoyed your vlog!

Wow! That’s a massive effort getting into shape and to be brave enough to do the hike again, and smash it in half the time, now that’s truly impressive💕You’re totally right about the stair master. I thought I had trained for it but noooo, I was humbled 😂
