You guys, it’s not the schools, it’s the internet. I had the same problem with my kid. Took her out of a bad school in town, sent her to stay with my mom at a good school on mainland. Still similar problems, maybe a little less. But I strongly believe the internet is the problem with these kids right now. It’s out of control and there’s practically no safeguards whatsoever for parents to protect kids from the insane stuff they find online or stuff other kids with no supervision send them. So I just got rid of all of it. She’s only allowed to use her phone to call/text family and for me to track her. And if she ever needs to use the computer for school or something I will be standing over her shoulder the entire time. Her behavior has improved significantly since getting rid of all the nonsense.

Man… I pray we have a chance to live in Hawaii. The weather is great… but the SPIRIT of Aloha is best. Visited and looked at properties in Makakilo and FELL IN LOVE. Quiet, close to incredible beaches and shopping. Loved visiting the Malama Market. Hope to make it home someday. Worried the pricing will send us to The Villages in Florida. Dang it Derek, I pray it will happen in Hawaii. It’s the only place on earth I’ve found peace. Blessings, Larry

Great video! I have a suggestion don't know if it's possible but to interview or follow up on people who come to Hawaii on short term. Either like visiting nurse, or person who needs to work on a project in Hawaii for a short term. I love Hawaii. I like the fact that you guys are honest in the videos.

Families move to a area where they think they can give a better education for there kids,on the mainland around where lived, first thing they said is we move here and pay an extra 500k just for the school system, than other move in and send the kids to private schools! They move here for the open air and more land and it's close to Boston. The bottom line is up to each family and what they think is the best value for the money.
