"Hawk Roosting" is a poem by Ted Hughes, one of the 20th century's most prominent poets. In the poem, a hawk is given the power of speech and thought, allowing the reader to imagine what it's like to inhabit the instincts, attitudes, and behaviors of such a creature. The hawk has an air of authority, looking down on the world from its high vantage point in the trees and feeling like everything belongs to it.

Ma'am I have a question, thus bird ,hawk shows the human characteristics . Thus the poet tries to show us the human behaviour towards the god creations and shows that how human think himself superior?

Exactly, in poem, Hawk roosting poet, Ted Hughes depicted Hawk as a epitome of human behavior that how it reacts towards the other creatures created by nature. Hawk shows the human behavior as arrogant, selfish as well as dominating in this world..

This is how humans are being arrogant. Neglecting Creator's guidance, trying to become God themselves, no sympathy for mankind, no love for the weaker. Sympathy for mankind can only be developed when Creator's guidance will be followed and The Creator has sent His guidance for the mankind ie Qur'an. Mankind need to respond to Allah's call!! “The revelation of The Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.” Qur’an: Surah Zukhroof (39)- Verse:1 “Do they not reflect upon the Quran? If it had been from (any) other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction” Qur’an: Surah 4, An’Nisa - Verse:82 Say, “O mankind, the truth has come to you from your Lord, so whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever goes astray only goes astray [in violation] against it. And I am not over you a manager.” Qur’an: Surah 10, Yunus - Verse: 108. There are numerous verses in Qur'an which tells us the purpose of our lives, we need to ponder upon the verses of our Lord. How can we neglect the message of the One who has created us!😥
