Yeah, I figured u weren't going below IBO 340 with that speed. Do u hunt in a saddle? I prefer hunting in a saddle with my Centergy than with my CT-5. My draw is a little longer than u & I shoot micros. With both bows I was able to maintain 270 fps even though I was shooting 65 lb. limbs set to 62. Plus the arrows r alot heavier than yours. Main thing is that its dead in the hand & quiet as a church mouse.

Just shot the nexus 4 and ventum33 together and yeah the weight was a big difference but I kinda liked the feeling of the Hoyt a little more which sucks cause I loved the nexus 4😂

They hold a tune fine, get fully comfortable with on prior to tuning tho, they will punish you for changing your form. Personally I like to get a few hundred arrows down range before chasing a tune on any bow.

@@robbiewilson7907 I'm sure it's more exaggerated or less so depending on your "base line form" and what exactly you change, might not affect some at all. Like everything archery related it's subjective and your mileage may vary.

2 great features about the Prime is the nock travel factor or lack there of. If u can measure from your riser to the middle of your shaft your tuning is 80% done. ➕ Prime speeds with heavier arrows don't drop like other ones due to all the things & not just 1 or 2 gimmicks that someone adds. It is due to the overall efficiency of the bow itself.

I wanted more FOC from my arrow setup, 2 years ago I had a 350 spine micro shaft that was 17 % FOC. Shot an arrow clear into the fiber board @ the bow shop after the arrow went through several layers of foam on their wall. The guy @ the shop then shot it through the chrono @ 270 fps. He shook his head. The arrows were 30 1/2" long with a CT-5 set @ 62 lbs. Since then I've upgraded to 570 grain 300 spine shafts just a little shorter with 20.5 % FOC. With that my shaft has more momentum with less efficiency wasted. Of course u can no longer shoot @ everyday style broadhead targets anymore. Those resealable foam ones r expensive which is the only downfall.

@@HaxenHunt I am used to shooting w/o a peep. I draw the bow straight back like it's a recurve & pull my thumb release by my cheek. Then I slightly lift like an inch until my jaw bone goes between my middle knuckle & the index one. The whole time this is happening I am looking @ the target & my cables making sure they lineup with the riser area attached to the arrow shelf. Once I find the sweet spot I put pressure on my Stan release with my pinkie & it goes off. When I drew back the CT-5 would torque to the left until I was about 2" from full draw. Not the case with the Nexus 4. Sometimes the little things will tell u more if u notice them.

@@HaxenHunt 100% these modern bows are all a hundred times better and the hand shock is nothing compared to those early bows, especially when bows switched from those long bows with small wheels like that Martin and got shorter with near modern cams. You're reviews rock, keep it up...
