Well - I smile as I am writing this , and I think I have been smiling since the very first upbeat in the first movement . That was simply marvellous !!! A true gem ! Great Tempi , Clearest Articulation , Wonderful Espressivo ,even romantic touches where the Music calls for it - I even hear pre-echoes of Beethoven in the slow movement , no wonder Beethovens first three sonatas were dedicated to Haydn! I can not imagine a better playing of this Hob.XVI / 24 ( and I have been a great admirer of Richter`s live Video so far…) Dear Tiffany , overwhelmed as I am right now , I say this : If anyone didn´t know how well you play , he would know now , or he would be deaf ! I strongly encourage anyone who enjoys this to get one or more of the complete sets of the Haydn sonatas that are available. He is easily the most underrated of the greatest composers. The inventiveness, variety, clever surprises and, of course, the plentiful humor are abundant. You are missing a lot of great stuff if you do not know these works. And, seriously consider the set on fortepiano by Ronald Brautigam. Spectacularly musical. Thanks Tiffany.

Bminor is a fave but one day ill hear more .the slow movement u played here is wonderful...oh geese you're changing me.im a 20th century sdvocate-Prokofiev Dutilleux,Messiaen,UnsukChin Al that and more .Best of all is hearing something like a Hadyn Sonata :music I ignore since there is Schumann ,Schubert and now finally Chopins mazurkas are teaching me how easy piano music can be quite difficult and a lifetime isn't ling enough

Gosh! I love your performances. The technique here makes me recall performances by Alfred Brendel. And I love your performance of the Scarlatti piece in another video. I must say, I enjoy your interpretation of that Scarlatti more than Pletnev’s. I watched Mikhael Pletnev play in Edinburgh, and listen to his CD of Scarlatti often. Your interpretation is marvelous and light.
