I headcanon Lucifer has a soft spot for baby ducks

As someone with Asperger's, I can confirm that this man might as well be wearing an Autism sign at all times. And it's also why he's my favourite.

This is why I'm so emotionally attached to Lucifer we have so much in common especially with this I even feel like I could relate to him before he fell I didn't fit in the religious community either so listening to his experience and seeing how it effected him after the fall it made me feel more connected to Lucifer Thank you Viv for this comfort character 😭❤️

Couple of other things I noticed: (Disclaimer: some of this is based on random unsourced info on Autism symptoms I saw one time, most likely because they matched my experiences... and I have only been officially diagnosed with Depression as of writing this. But since nearly all of my mom's friends in the medical field have told her I am somewhere on the spectrum for autism or ADHD, I'm pretty sure the only reason I wasn't diagnosed is because they didn't understand how it presented in girls at the time and I learned to mask well enough to not disrupt school.) Has an easier time interacting with animals than people: Right after he shows up at the hotel and hugs Charlie, Lucifer immediately fixates on Keekee, Razzle, and Dazzle, even though there are multiple other people he should have noticed earlier. Masking: A lot of the interactions you listed as "missing social cues" strike me a lot like masking. Basically, he know that he should be saying something nice in this situation but doesn't understand why we do that thing, so he's going off a script. This could also explain the awkward turns of phrases ("it's fuck you up, dad") and constantly having a facade of authority for most of the time. Creative: a bit subjective, but I believe people on the spectrum are considered more creative in certain contexts. Lucifer has powers of creation and uses them all the time.

I really love how what caused me to watch hazbin hotel was Lucifer's obsession over ducks. I used to be obsessed over ducks and thought i HAD to know why there was an image with a shit ton of ducks in his room.

YAY IM SO HAPPY TO SEE OTHERS WITH THE SAME HEADCANON >_< i relate to lucifer a lot, i am autistic, adhd, mdd + some other stuff and my god he is so autism-coded !! some of the stuff i relate to that he does / shows : (some of this has already been pointed out but i wanted to add to it) **rigid thinking** . he struggles to see people in shades of grey, only seeing them as good or evil. **fidgeting** . he is almost constantly fidgeting or doing some kind of repetitive movement. **masking** . in theory he knows what he *should* be doing, but in practice social cues are so hard. he is doing what he thinks, what he hopes, is wanted/expected from those around him. however, there are times where that sort of thing is forgotten like when he sees kee-kee, razzle and dazzle ! **status** . alastor said, "fuck you" to the king of hell. one would think that eh would be greatly offended, no? but i don't think lucifer sees his status as anything worth much. in fact i have to assume that he is excited when he is treated as an equal. (speaking from experience, i was an angry (troubled but showed as anger) child and all of my classmates avoided me. it was ages until i had someone treat me as an equal, a classmate simply teased me and i was so happy cause he wasn't afraid.) **no filter** . he thinks, he speaks and only after does he re-think. the "bow-chicka-wow-wow" thing, "i guess thats why they call it the has-been hotel ha ha ha." are prime examples of this. **rejection** . he was rejected by his angelic peers for thinking differently, if thats not a perfect representation of what its like to be autistic them i dont know what is (hyperbole) **charlie** . i believe charlie is also autistic, her never ending enthusiasm, her empathy, her forgiveness, and she shares many traits with her father. many autistic individuals have a familial history of autism. (my aunt is autistic, 5/7 of my cousins are, my brother is.) **depression** . depression, clinical, situational, major, all of it sucks. lucifer isolating himself is very relatable. **phone call anxiety** . he begins to plan out his phone call before answering it, something i do a lot. i often will script a conversation in my head, however when it inevitably strays i panic. **overly expressive** . oh boy, i struggle with this so much. thankfully i have a 'funny guy' reputation so my facial expressions are often written off as a purposeful joke. (ALSO **TWINKISH LAUGH** /POS)

there’s many reasons one can become neurodivergent, one being it runs in the family, which is common for things like bpd and such. then there’s a birth defection, or traumatic events that come into play and ruin your brain, not giving it time to process things which make it overwhelmed, starting situations where it can’t develop properly. so in conclusion there is a very high chance that lucifer is neurodivergent. if viv hasn’t confirmed it yet, i’d assume it’d be true in a logical sense. the fact that he was denied and cast down to hell, then left by his wife and daughter, then put alone for so many years, would most definitely fuck up his brain and make him neurodivergent. the fact of the matter is yes, if this happened to somebody irl, and if viv is basing sinners off of a logical sense of self, there’s a high chance all his pent up PTSD would give him mental disorders such as ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, and many other things that mess up his brain. making him socially and mentally awkward and incapable. but this doesn’t mean luci isn’t smart or totally incapable. he’s a very smart boi and he has real feelings to. this is a reminder to never treat others differently because of who they are or what they’ve been through. :)). :( i feel so bad for luci. You know for being in depression for several years I was unable to deal with others and I still have difficulties today ... He's been in depression for centuries and left alone and if you look to the creator others dads (helluva boss ) they all have those "symptoms" look the video about his depression call therapist react to and dont think only adhd and autistic people have depression or other symptoms as well and the creator confirm he only has depression and he is a goof insane being 😅

As a person with autism I relate to a lot of these. Especially the being different from other, difficulty with facial expressions, stimmer like all the time, missing social cues/ can never read a room, I csn be a bit impulsive when someone gives me their bs, struggle when things or plans change out of the blue or just come up, and maybe a few other things. But ya I relate to Lucifer a lot and he is my favorite and thank you for making the video so much
