Something I don't see many people talking about but is a neat small detail that really helps sell Alastor's "cheesy showman" persona is the fact that when he knocks at the door, it's very slow and heavy, but still recognizable as the "shave-and-a-haircut, two bits" rhythm

I had to look up what that was. Never knew it had an official name (then again I’m not formally versed in music). That is an interesting detail! And it’s very haunting in retrospect😨

Frankly that highlights one of the details that makes Alastor's radio voice so compelling; the background soundbites (i.e. revellie trumpet, wolf howl, record scratch etc) which adds even more personality to his radioman persona.

The pilot version of Alastor also uses more sound effects and jokes, in addition to which the demon was also more energetic and powerful than it is now. The current version is also good, but not as good as Alastor in the pilot.

I well say I miss this alastor. He has alot of small details like the background sounds like old school TV shows. The different radio static by his sudden moves. And the deeper radio static in his voice.

I guess it's because Alastor is actually Lilith in disguise. That's why he cares about Charlie and doesn't like Lucifer. And both of them, Alastor and Lilith, were absent for 7 years.

Like, we know he was actually once a human, unless there’s explanation further to what you said, I just genuinely don’t want Alastor turning out to be a different character, and never actually being “Alastor” if that makes sense. But like, HE MUST be his own character, so chances are he’s probably working for Lillith than being a disguise.
