The show focuses on Hellborns (imps, hellhounds, succubi, etc.) which _can_ die just as easily as humans can, even just by old age....They're just immune to fire in the mortal realm. Their lifespans are about the length of an average human... _maybe_ a little longer, but not by much. The royalty (Charlie's family, the Sins, and the Ars Goetia such as Stolas) are also Hellborns and can die of old age (although, they live very _very_ long lives), but in order to _kill_ them, you need an angelic weapon. Otherwise, they're impervious to all damage done to them. Sinners make up the majority of the cast of Hazbin. They are immortal and don't die of old age. You can "kill" them with anything (and it's a painful process for them so they try to avoid "dying" whenever possible), but they'll eventually just reincarnate back. The only way to kill them permanently is with an angelic weapon.

Helluva Boss may share the same universe as Hasbin Hotel, but it focus on different topics. Hazbin Hotel focuses on redemption, but Helluva Boss focuses on relationships and explores more of Hell. Hazbin Hotel happens entirely on the Pride Ring, the upmost part of Hell where all the sinners live and are confined to. Meanwhile, despite Helluva Boss happens mostly on the Pride Ring (since Blitz's business needs sinners as clients), it goes to all the other rings of Hell which are named after the seven deadly sins. The main cast is made up of hellborn demons who are native to Hell (just like Charlie). Blitz, Moxxie and Millie are Imps and Loona is a Hellhound, both from the bottom of Hell's hierarchy. Stolas (the owl demon) is a royal demon (hellborn who are as immortal as sinners) part of the Goetia family who lends his grimoire to Blitz so he can do his job on Earth in exchange... well, you saw it. Despite the way he is introduced, you will see he is actually the most complex and sympathetic character in the entire show.

If Hazbin Hotel stole your heart, Helluva Boss is gonna break it in two and stomp on it, and you'll ask for more

YESSS you're doing Helluva!! I'm SO EXCITED! Personally, I love them both, but I actually like Helluva Boss more because it doesn't have a big grand plot persay, it's a character driven, character focused story exploring themes like found family and trauma. Plus, being still technically indie the animation department gets to have a lot more fun with experimental stuff. I hope you enjoy it, I'm here for the ride!

Fun Fact: Martha and her family's portrayal psychotic, cannbalistic murderers and how they terrorized the I.MP crew are a throwback to Resident Evil: 7 Biohazard, where the story also involved the protagonist trying to survive and take down a family of deranged murderers 👑👑👑

Looking forward to sharing the journey with you. HB has a distinctly different feel to it - more jokes and visual gags than HH and fewer songs - but as with HH, the characters are the central draw to the show and by the end of season one you will be very emotionally invested in them.

So yeah the first season it was still kind of finding itself. And like the first episode is really one of the few episodes where you actually see them doing their job. Other episodes is just alluded to.

Its the same universe but pretty much everyone, except Blitzøs clients, are hellborn and are just as morally varied as earthlings. perhaps a bit more on the immoral side though.

Great reaction!Just so you know most of the demons in this series are hell born, so, unlike sinners they're not human souls who died on earth.They are very much alive and,like Charlie,were born in Hell^^

FIRST! also nice choice on skipping the pilot. also this series follows a bunch of natives of hell(aka hellborn) ranging from lowly imps and hellhounds(both lowest within hell's society) to one of the highest, that being deadly sins(which we meet no deadly sins until the end of this season in s1ep7 and s1ep8), each deadly sin in the show controls a ring(excluding pride which this show largely ignores), the other rings are still named after sins(lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, envy((which has not been shown in the show up to this point and by that I mean the most recent episode(((full moon which you will take a while to get to))) doesn't show envy either)), we have seen the other rings within this universe however)), and wrath-the ring most imps in this show are born in though not all of them lived most of their lives in wrath). Hellhounds are from the gluttony ring. Also stolas is another species of pretty high ranking demons in hell called the Ars Goetia(a family of royal demons that I often compare to the Hapsburgs). Ars Goetia aren't as high as deadly sins or lucifer but up there, 4th highest, I believe, while deadly sins are 3rd highest, charlie and lillith are second only to lucifer. most of the hierarchy is determined by power. yes even sinners are more important/more powerful than imps and hellhounds. Expect basically no references to hazbin hotel in this show(expect for the episode loo loo land which is set in a rip-off park of Lucifer's lu lu world, there was even a lawsuit between the two, lawsuit is only briefly mentioned but the social medias say more of it, that being lucifer himself sued the park/the ruler of greed ring and LOST). You don't meet the leader of the greed ring for a while but you do see references to him on the money in the show.

yes the one in the beginning is a sinner(humans who died and manifested in hell) so yes human but also a sinner. all sinners come from earth, and the design of each sinner reflects their life on earth. not sure if you ever responded to this when I put it in your hazbin comment section

someone else's story? uhhhh more like each character have their own plot lines that do intersect at times but largely are independent expect millie and moxxie who are married, and blitz and stolas(dating but as of the latest episode oh wait better shut up she has very little context)

There is a pilot episode that came before episode 1, and despite being chaotic, it does provide some context, so I think it might be a good idea for you to watch it. Also, a certain scene from the pilot will be referenced in a future episode. For example, it shows how Blitz ended up with the grimoire, giving some background to the relationship between Blitz and Stolas (the bird character who owns the grimoire). There were a couple of voice actor changes since the pilot (Millie was originally voiced by the same person who does Loona, and Stolas had a different British voice actor).
