Did you have fun dances like what is shown in this episode? I think they did away will that many years ago. Seems like there were more freedoms back then. I feel cheated by modern society.

The show is great - watched it as a child - even when Hazel is rarely wrong, as in this episode (i.e. over mothering - or rather smothering Harold), it is meant to kindly instruct and an opportunity for us to learn.

I was born too late to appreciate the era this photo play loosely emulates. And though I realize this show is based on best case scenarios, perfect endings, and is not an accurate depiction of the clockwork of the real world, it sure makes me feel good when I watch an episode. Makes me realize how we have disassociated ourselves with the simpler things.

I was 10 years old when this was on. The Black Telliphone like little Harold was using was what my mom always picked and they were free along with a paid service. If you picked a color phone it was extra. In them days it was always the woman who handled the household budget while the man was the Bread winner.

A sweet, charming, emotionally moving, comedic/dramatic Fall, 1964 NBC episode of "Hazel". :) Sadly-in 1974-at the age of 22-Bobby Buntrock (Harold Baxter) died in an automobile accident in California. :(

it was a 20 minute show and it took probably quite a few takes to one scene because of bloobers they did. They made it selightful though. The reason for the why though they made the weight problem was because Rosie bet with Hazel that she couldn't keep him the diet to lose weight, and Hazel didn't want to lose the bet. Although George would talk her out of it, she never let Rosie know that she lost the bet.

I like how Harold dashed across the street in the first scene without looking. Yes, it is the Warner Ranch back lot with no traffic but not a good look. The Warner Ranch? Well, it was recently demolished to expand sound stages and office buildings but the place for the exterior shots or Hazel and the Bewitched house right next door.

Accoring to what they said the bridge was unsafe to cross chance crossi but he tried it anyway going somewhere know it was under repair. Just because signs weren't posted he thought he could cross it. They claimed his car doors were jamed in the mud and he couldn't get out. So he went ahead and chanced it. It was his own doing. Sometimes people just do n't know. We shouldn't put our lives in that kind of danger. he had made some movies after Hazel. he hadn't retired as they had said.

One of the worst shows on tv. Never could stand that Shirley Booth, she and her voice were extremely annoying. She always thought Mr.Baxter was fat, he never was. Hazel was obese, she needed to look in the mirror. This is definately the worst sitcom ever.Bleh!! My Mother the Car was better than this.
