HBCU Dance Affair Houston (2019) | Showcase

5 жыл бұрынThe HBCU Dance Affair features current and former members from some of the TOP majorette dance teams in the country: Southern University Dancing Dolls, Alcorn State University Golden Girls, Jackson State University J-Settes, Alabama State University Stingettes, Orchesis Dance Company of Grambling State University, Texas Southern University Motion of The Ocean, Prairie View A&M University Black Foxes, North Carolina A&T University Golden Delight, and Spelman/Morehouse College Mahogany-N-Motion. These dancers teach the younger/aspiring campers their respective styles and give them firsthand insight on what it takes to dance collegiately at their HBCUs.

The original venue for Houston was revoked once we arrived due to no AC. It was originally going to last multiple days which would have given the campers more time to practice. Instead, the 6 teams rushed to teach the groups all in one day, and perform that afternoon. No need to be negative or judge too harshly, they’re just enjoying the experience the best way they could with the circumstances given.

Never did it for the money 🥶. i love filming and filmed the dance affairs before this tour.💯 my priority is putting out content consistently. Thank you for supporting me💪🏽💪🏽

alicia brown | thank you 🙏🏽 . it’s sad that it’s ending. It was an amazing event for the kids, the girls loved teaching, & we had a great time together outside of the event & built really strong bonds with people from all the best HBCUs. That’s what i’ll remember, so i’m grateful for the experience while it lasted.
