Each of the children carry a part of Logan in their personalities imo and with Connor they were both able to emotionally detach themselves the easiest from the rest of the world and keep it moving. Logan would’ve had the same reaction if it were reversed imo - grieved for ten seconds and went back to his life.

I've never seen death captured so realistically in movies or television like this before. The way it was so unexpected, and how everyone was in denial of it immediately afterwards. The acting was genius, but I cannot praise enough the directing, writing and cinematography. Everything was directed in a way that we as the viewers will experience all of it first hand, the levels of grief, the shock, the disbelief. So sudden. No build-up, no foreshadowing. Also the editing choices were just superb, the fact that we didn't see Logan's body at first made me think that it's just one of his games, that he's faking it for some business reason, that they were reanimating a dummy. Then we get more and more information, we actually get to see him, we actually start to believe that it's happening, that there won't be another plot twist. Masterclass in television, my compliments!

I feel shaken by the loss. Never thought I'll be sobbing in Succession, but the pain was so visceral. It really displayed the undying bond between a parent and child that no matter how much you hate each other, the pain and love you shared is just too deep.

I watched this episode like 20 hours after it aired. Didn't avoid social media or anything - I figured 'It's only episode 3' and that I could just scroll past anything succession-related. Somehow, I didn't see a single spoiler. Will be thanking the universe everyday for that divine intervention, because this is one of the best hours of television I've ever seen. Can’t wait for the rest of the season!

I cannot stress how brilliant of a choice it was to have Logan die off-screen in the beginning of an episode rather than dramatically at the end of one. Watching the siblings deal with it in all its shock and devastation in real-time made for an incredible episode of television.

I had a feeling Logan was going to die this season; hence why I believed it was the show's final season. However, I didn't suspect he'd die this early within the season. That's why I was shocked Logan died in this episode. The way the showrunners didn't physically show Logan's death, it played with my emotions, like a rollercoaster ride, on whether it was or wasn't true that Logan actually died or not! Basically, I felt every emotions the kids were feeling (the unknown), while waiting for every seconds that passed to receive Logan's status, in real time. This is why I love Succession -- it's so unique from other shows! RIP Logan Roy...

Seeing characters like Shiv, Roman, and Con who typically hide their emotions behind a shield finally break in their own little ways was so moving. I love how amazing of a grasp the writers and actors have of their characters - I know it might sound super trivial when I say that everyone reacted to Logan’s Death reacted EXACTLY how they would react but you’d be surprised how many movies/tv shows try to force moments out of certain characters and therefore miss the mark, especially in their final seasons. We’re truly witnessing modern day Shakespeare.

This episode made me cry like a child (although I'm 30) and call my mom & dad to say how much I love them. They live really far from me. And it all felt so realistic. Roman's reaction was what kept me hooked throughout, you just had to focus on him and his little mannerisms whenever he was on screen, him being curled up on the floor, not be able to say 'you did a great job' without breaking down, him trying to comfort shiv, trying to latch onto connor, his reaction was too visceral it was almost uncomfortable the way he feels guilty as if its somehow his fault. Yeah crazy good actor, Kieran has that supporting emmy locked!

All of these actors are obviously amazing, and have garnered rightly deserved acclaim for these performances. I think though, that Alan Ruck's Conner is criminally underappreciated, much like his character. His scenes with Willa, his reaction to his Dad's death, he is such a tragic character, being the forgotten one is heart wrenching, I think.

The fact that this show is shot on film is so under appreciated. This will stand the test of time visually because of it. Some shows start off shooting on film and then switch to digital because of budget or studio pressure, like Mad Men. It never felt the same after season 4. Succession is a treat to watch beginning to end.

Succession captured the true unexpected and sudden nature of death. Right up until the end you can't believe that Logan died, when the phone call is made you're probably thinking that it's a heavy play from Logan to scare off the kids since at the beginning of the episode he said that they'll go aggressive. And we all expect everything from him, but as it goes on and on you keep wondering. Denial fear anger and bitterness. One of the best episodes of all time

This is a long, rambly comment, but bear with me. This episode was so powerful on so many levels. Logan’s death was shocking, yet the lack of build-up towards his death is what makes it all the more real. No one prepares for death, and no family, not even the Roy’s, are immune from that reality. The way that the cast performed in this episode was superb; the shock, the denial, the grief, the pain. It was beautiful to watch how to Roy children came together to support one another. I am in awe of the talent of these incredible actors. And my god, I have such admiration for the writers, the director and the crew for this incredible episode. E4 is a triumph, a culmination of extremely talented people working together to create a powerhouse of a show. It was absolutely incredible. I held my breath for the whole hour of the episode and couldn’t let go. A heart wrenching watch. Wow.
