This is a nice little entry level brushless 1/12th scale basher.
Lots of nice details (lights, 3-wire serve etc).

It was a really nice review, very honest! I got my eyes out for this truck also, I think it's cool but like you also said, quite expensive even after Banggood lowered the price. I'll wait a bit and see, ha ha... Yeah, the body cracks just by passing near a rock, damn... Was a nice spot with those rocks, like you said, I was just at a similar place with my Gatekeeper an hour ago, was really great! Cool logo you got there! If you start selling t-shirts, I'd buy one!

Thank you! I thought that I would give it a go since its so hyped up, but i would probably choose my brushed 124018 over this tbh. Actually went back to that spot with my c54 today, video will be out this weekend :) How do you like the Gatekeeper? Worth the price? Thanks! I will probably not try to sell any merch since my channel is so small but i appreciate it :)

@@RCManiacs The Gatekeeper is a proper beast! It's a really nice machine! But it's expensive, damned expensive! I put pretty nice electronics in it and a good bit of brass, so it performs pretty well... It's still top heavy but I have learned to live with it... I have a couple videos with it from the winter, plus I have footage for a full feature video, coming sometime this summer... Well, I'll have to buy some bigger channels' tshirts instead then, ha ha!

Wheelies and a slightly higher top speed come for definite when you upgrade the tyres. You'll need the hbx16889 wheelie bar for which there are already mounting holes. The body is pretty flimsy. Ive broken two so far - the original and a replacement that HBX license for the Bezgar HM124. Now, I gorilla tape mine and no problems so far. You can always try the 14t pinion upgrade for a little more more top speed but I find it fast enough with stock pinion and bigger wheels. I have tried it a couple of times on 3S which adds about 10mph but I dont reccomend it. Its too wild as the truck is pretty light. Im also pretty sure that doing so is responsible for the odd behaviour my ESC now exhibits. Change out the shock oil to 40wt minimum and replace the cheap diff "gunk" with proper 10k diff oil. Then assess it again. Its different to the WL Toys but its much better at the skatepark. Double backflips !

Thanks for your reply! I will def look into trying the 14t pinion :) Yeah, I am not sure that I would dare to try 3s with the stock electronics. I was thinking of going even thicker with the diff oil to get some locked effect:)

@@RCManiacs be rally interested to hear what thicker oil would do for it. Were you thinking more like 30k or even 50k? And same front and back ?

I’ve got a bottle of 100k laying around actually that I used for another of my trucks to lock up the diffs a little but not completely. But Yeah, for this I will probably go lower, I use thicker oil on some of my trucks just to get a little locked diffs. Ofc that is just a matter of taste and opinion and whatever suits one’s own style of driving :)

Not in my opinion, I would choose a WLtoys over this any day . But that is just my opinion:)

@@juntti2948 I would honestly take the smaller brushed 144001 over this. And right now you can get the 124017 for like 20 bucks more than What this one cost At banggood. But it all comes down to personal preference i guess, I am something of a WLtoys fanboy.
