→ Join me on this ultra-rare domestic heavy flight onboard Delta's Flagship A350-900 on a short hop from Detroit to Minneapolis! Even the captain came into the cabin to recognize how rare this flight is! We begin at Detroit's gate A34 and pushback. The current traffic pattern was departing/landing to the north, so we taxi to runway 4R for departure. As we enter the runway, the beautiful hum of this ultra-quiet A350 fills the air. We rotate shortly after. Climbing out north, we turn left to head west towards Minneapolis. We cross the state of Michigan, the Lake of Michigan (did that on purpose) and the state of Wisconsin before beginning our approach into Minneapolis. Sadly, a good majority of the flight had the ground obscured by either smoke or an overcast layer. And that smoke just got thicker as we approached Minneapolis. It got SO thick that visibility was down to less than 2 miles. It is truly sad to see the condition of Minnesota due to the Canadian wildfires. We line up for landing on MSP's runway 30L and gracefully touchdown. Using up a good 70% of the runway, we exit and taxi to gate F12, where this flight terminates. I hope you enjoy this Flagship A350 flight as much as I did, and, as always, all the flight information and timestamps you could possibly want can be found below. Enjoy!

Welcome to my channel! My name is Scott. I work for a major US carrier as a ramp agent. I upload every Wednesday (and occasionally Sunday) at 3PM MST. It will almost always be a full flight video, but sometimes, you’ll get an arrival, departure or even a rare plane spotting video! It's all so random, so keep checking back!
I hope you consider subscribing to this ever-growing channel! Planes are calling my name, so come join me on a great journey, you won't be disappointed!

Why would they use an A350-900 on such a short flight? The A350 is designed to fly halfway across the globe

Guess the demand was there. It was a completely full flight! Im sure its a lot of connecting passengers rather then terminating passengers. Thanks for watching!

@@AviationManiak Perhaps because it is hub-to-hub?

Quite possibly! American carriers are notorious for using heavy jets from hub to hub. So, this is probably the best explanation!

These planes probably don’t get used domestically like this unless idk global travel demand was devastated by a possible pandemic :P sure it will be added to international routes in coming months

@@AviationManiak there are 2 different variants of the A350 that Delta owns and uses the A350-900 and the A350-900 35L

OHHHH! I thought you meant the seat number after I told you the seat number. I'm sorry about that! I know some of DL's A350's came from LATAM and those are registered in the N570+DL numbers and are laid out in a 2-cabin layout, whereas the planes that Delta outright bought (registered as N500+DL - N529DL) are configured in a 3-class layout. But this particular aircraft was laid out in a 3-cabin config, so I believe this would be called the A359, not the A35L. ' Also, sorry I did not get back to you sooner as I do not receive notifications of replies to comments, only to the original comment!
