Mega Turrican is a game made by german company "Factor 5", and is the third game in the franchise. It has good graphics, tight controls and outstanding soundtrack by Chris Huelsbeck (who is responsible for all music in the franchise). Although this game is focused more on plain action compared to the earlier games, there's still enough of exploring to do. I haven't showed all the secrets, because I've decided to just blaze through the later levels without much exploring, due to the danger of dying and losing your weapon's power level, and then losing even more lives. I've died only a few times on that dreaded alien train. Anyway, the game is amazing, one of the best run'n gun games on the Genesis. Highly recommended.

This was one my favourite Genesis games, its been over 25 years since I played this game, this playthrough brings back so many memories of me playing it. The soundtrack to this game was so good.

Very smooth YT recording, because of its 60FPS. A joy to watch any kind of the moving.

No offense to the SNES, which is my favourite console of all time, but this version just beats the SNES one. Edit: Although, I just noticed that the weapon and explosion effects and just the fx in general are way beefier in the SNES version and really add some punch there that's missing from the Genesis version. So that's definitely a point in SNES' favour that I never afforded it before.

Great game, best Turrican, definitely the definitive version on the MD beating out the SNES.

Man if Super Turrican was finished, bet most people would've chosen Super over Mega, pretty unfair that so many people compare 2 games from the same franchise yet one isn't complete which is super and both games attempted to do something different, I dislike how many people just rank Mega higher simply because there's an extra world when it's too short, most of the enemies are spammed in the level, the bosses are totally easy to cheese, not only that world 5 from Mega takes a lot of elements from Super Turrican's world 2, Super is the better game if it was finished.

True, such a shame. However, apparently the full version does exist. Someone from Factor 5 had it on a floppy disk all these years and recently it finally surfaced, though currently it's only accessible as a part of a built-in rom set for some retro multi-console that I can't remember the name of. And I'm not 100% sure that it is THE actual full version and not just some hack.

It's just a beta build of the game, like the transition sequence isn't complete, still no 3rd boss or final world, cut enemies and 2 bosses didn't surface again, several sound effects are missing including graphical effects, Konami was going to publish the game, they demanded Factor 5 to cut down the game by a large margin because they saw it bring too similar too Contra III, and at the end most of the cut content couldn't be placed back in so then they changed publishers at the last minute.

@@Paulohenrique-wz6go if it was better, if you mean if the final stage was ever created in the first place before the huge cutting then yeah, MT's only strengths at this point is music, effects and the game is complete so-to-speak

@@turrican3839 mega turrican is great for what mega drive can do(even Pc engine has a Better hardware than MD), tbh I don't really like the other turrican games, always felt like a less fun Contra for me but for some reason I like MT maybe its the music
