What an amazing light show that was! What a joy to have been able to witness it from south of Fairbanks. The best aurora show I've seen in the ten years I've lived here! Love the timelapse. Gives me goosebumps and makes me remember the night all over again!

Amazing!!! I can watch The Auroras all day long. I went to Alaska in Sept 2011 but did not get to see them live. I plan to go this winter no matter how cold it gets, and hopefully every winter after that. Never been anywhere that cold before but I AM READY!!!!

I was in Helsinki Finland and experienced the Northern Lights first hand, I found it very interesting to say the least. Although when your around it for a long period of time, I found it to be a bit too much if one is not use to it.

I was lucky enough to be out looking for the aurora that night near Soldotna. Exactly at 1AM there was an amazing coronal aurora overhead. For my friend who lived in AK 10 years as well it was also the best he ever saw. I hope there's a real time video out there somewhere too.

@ 3:45 there is a blue and a red round sphere that is prominently seen throughout this frame. they appear from the very beginning and rise from the right lower corner and are preceded by another larger sphere that doesn't 'appear' to be solid.

The flying objects at 1:33 .There are three. One breaks off pattern in the very beginning and disappears. The other two shoot up and to the left. They are clearly separate (not part of one unit) and from my own analysis, appear to be moving at varying speeds. Of course, the fact that this is a time lapse and the frame rate is unknown makes it hard to really analyze. But, I thought it was interesting. Anyone else agree?
@keb1987
@keb1987 10 жыл бұрын
Also, there seems to be another that departs in the opposite direction. I'm not saying that these are UFOs, just that the pattern of movement is peculiar.

This isn't a long object, it seems long, because the camera is making 'long' photos, so while it makes a photo, the star has passed a lot of space.
