When I was a kid in the 1940's, I lived in Roberts and went to school there which was just east of the tracks. I could hear the trains from my grandpas farm. I have loved them every since. thanks for the memories.

I don't think people got the true message of this video. It's about equality, justice, integrity and most of all: being yourself. The train isn't afraid of the past, and is bravely moving forward to the future. From this video, I learned how to really get my life "back on track". Thank you, Ervans Trains!

I am a 65 yr. old female who never happened to run across a train video before. I loved it, takes me back to beging a child and hoping we would have to wait for a train on the racks on the way to town. At 720 the sound is good. Real trains 60 years ago sounded like the original sound.

Also, the second and third locomotives do say "Portland & Western". You can see it clearly at 0:43 and 0:44 if you pause it at the exact right moment. The first locomotive says "Willamette & Pacific" and you can see it best at around 0:35 to 0:38.

Those are some slick looking Geeps. I like how the crossing signals had both older mechanical and newer electronic bells, not something you see often.

Depends on the engine themselves. Like with the Dash 9 BNSF ones they can haul three times its own weight, each engine acts as a support the train main engine. Like they could control the train from the other engines if the main one fails.
@JoshGWells13 жыл бұрын
just switch your quality to 720p or higher and it works fine

Thanks, did the the video audio sound right.
@wraith012715 жыл бұрын
Oh, ok, I don't know much about reporting marks and their specific meanings. That sounds understandable where the mix up would happen for those who do know. I was only talking about the insignia's on the trains themselves as being P&W and W&P. That is an interesting bit of info, it's almost like a TV station's call letters, each one is different and individual to that station(or in this case, railroad company). I learned something today, thank you. (no sarcasm)

Your video was great. Screw the tools here that needs the bell clanging to get them thru to the car. Keep shooting. Hey deeps, you know where the sound knob is, mute the sound and set back and enjoy the popCorn and the view.

This is a 'local' train that runs on jointed rails which are older type, so they have to go slower than most American trains that run on the main lines that run on welded rails...

@RossG26015 жыл бұрын
When you look at it that way, it's a bit excessive, but sometimes the railways have strange rules for freight trains, and indeed most other trains. I think it's just a case of 'country codes' - in Australia it might only have to sound the horn once but they just have a different rule for it in Oregon. Over here in Scotland they don't have to do either unless there's a whistle post (which is very rare).

I dont understand how someone can dislike these videos. Without trains we wouldnt have half the stuff we have today....
@zappa102513 жыл бұрын
2. Work on gradually zooming in and out. You'll wait until the train is way to close in view, then shotgun your zoom out. You'll find that the video will flow better overall if you more gradually zoom out as the train is coming towards you. Again, you have some good stuff, but those two right there will go leaps and bounds in helping to make them even better. Cheers!
