@@JK-el8kt Sure bud, nothing more "rice" than a turbo 5 cylinder, the engine type Audi made their name racing with. Don't get me wrong, I owned a Mk4 GLI and love the sound of VR6s, but that's just your opinion, and it's not a great one.

I mean the focus/volvo 5 pots are far more throaty, these sound a little less aggresive and on these the bangs aren't aggresive enough and take away from the sound imo

I want to install this but do I need a ECU tune for this ? I do not want to tune my rs3 because I have dealer warranty and do not want to void it. I even heard that programming it stage 1 then reprogramming it back to stock, that dealers still know that you messed with the ECU. I don't mind having bolt on parts without a tune just as long as I don't get no check engine lights. If this possible?

You should do another video but in Sport mode instead of Manual and listen to the bangs on down shift. Sounds nice & loud though!

@@reidn010 If you are in Dynamic and leave it in S mode on the gearbox and do some good pulls and let the car downshift for you then you should get some nice pops and bangs as it downshifts, mine does and mines just the standard RS sports exhaust.

Sounds insane. I have a fully stock RS3 and was thinking of putting only downpipes but no remap to not lose warranty (its a bit tricky here in Switzerland). Would that be worth it?

SwissTec while using the apr flash for full e85 and this Downpipe, the customer picked up some substantial gains. We don’t ever recommend installing a downpipe without a re-flash. If you don’t have a local APR dealer there are a few companies that can gladly send you a handheld unit so you can flash the vehicle at your convenience. Thanks for watching !

SwissTec absolutely. Eurodyne and others will write the entire image of your ecu and save as a backup. Then you can flash as needed. If you have to service it. You can re flash at your home.

@@hdwerks Checking on Eurodyne they dont offer maps which suite Europe. Over here we have 95, 98 and 100 octane. Is there a solution for those maps where I can flash myself? Thanks

SwissTec The 95 98 100 is RON. 98 RON translates to 93 octane. I’m on a Eurodyne tune for 93 octane, For you that would be the 98 RON. So select the 93 octane tune, and you may use 98 and 100 RON fuel. Hope this helps.

Was only the downpipe changed?? So the entire exhaust system still has the CAT/muffler/resonator etc?? I have a RS3 too and I'm trynna get the same sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

If you have the factory sport exhaust it consists of one cat, two midpipe resonators and the muffler. This kit removes the cat and resonators. In short, straight pipe to the muffler.

DSG farts. But that exact noise is from light throttle shifting near redline. The trans needs the engine rpms to drop before it engages the other clutch to match the next ratio, so it 'slips' and delays going into the next gear. Changes the sound a little from the very quick shifts under heavy throttle.

@@Nattymatty7 it's amazing man, it's quite a bit louder hey. I was surprised. And it made lots more power as well with the software. For an S3 I'd say get the software for more power. And then it's exhaust. But please do yourself a favour and get one that works with the cars drive select. Otherwise it will drive you mad. I did my GTI a few years back and the droning is too much without valves. Then you can turn it off when you want to chill and open them when you want to make some noise.

@@Nattymatty7 I just sold a 2016 S3 I drove for a couple years, and I had it Unitronic stage 2 with catless downpipe and resonator delete for the majority of the 2 years. Didn't have any issues with it the whole time. Car had awesome over run in "S" mode, and was still pretty quiet in "D". Unfortunately it did drone a bit right around 3000 RPM, and being a 2016 with the 6 speed, that was at about 80 mph. Great car overall though, congrats on the purchase.
