650Ib: I’m the guy that brought his stock R1M ECU in for Nick to reflash right after this video ended...... I couldn’t be happier with how it ran when I got home and put the bike back together.... I told him to flash it for a full system (not installed yet, sitting in my living room) so it runs a little rich, but the bike is better EVERYWHERE. The throttle is Wayyyy better at small throttle openings in all modes and it handles mid corner throttle openings so well it isn’t an issue anymore. The bike wheelies a lot more in the midrange in 2nd, which it barely did before so the big hole in the power curve around 6500rpm is filled in quite a bit. Anyone wanting to get an ECU map done and have been kicking the can down the road, the $175 you spend on a flash with nick will give you better and more noticeable gains than you might get with anything else for that kind of money. It’s just a couple of screws and panels/covers,..... flash that bike and smile every time you crack the throttle!

Nick is the man on the Dyno tuning. I have heard about him from Facebook and speaking to him personally he knows his stuff.

Because we all know how underpowered the R1M is.

That looks like a delicious tune. Lovely power curve. Lot more juice in the mid range and an insane top-end. Keeps on building power till close to 14k!

I just have flashed my ECU by Nick Marino was all stock but air filter and Graves slip on ! What a difference it made ! Now my ECU is on the way back for reflashing for full Akropovic ! I CAN'T hardly wait for the results

I just got my dream job of all dream jobs as a service tech at a high end shop. Yesterday was my first day and I had the opportunity to make a few dyno pulls on an S1000 RR. Seriously not kidding, best day at work in my entire life, i still can't believe I get paid to do this. The future is looking good.

Usually when you bump up timing, fuel goes leaner if the timing change is worth any power.

It would have been nice if you rode it at the end and gave us a "seat of the pants how it feels" different...

I was 5hp to high on this one, mapping looks good, are you able to play with the intake runner map? May not help with HP but could pull some more torque just messing with the fuel atomization profile. 13.0 made good power on dyno but 12.8 might be better umph for street. Good stuff.

Just finished watching the video where you changed the gearing, it looked like the front sprocket was the same number of teeth but the rear went down 1 tooth, if I caught that correctly. Do you think the gearing change had any affect on the final numbers?

Check egt. You can run rich and advance timing but if you go more than 5 degrees you need to regap the plugs.

184 hp is exactly what i expected. He flashed mines and i also went up 11 hp. If you look at it that were it should be with out any mechanical changes. 20% from the crank with they heavy ristrictions removed. Very satisfied customer👍the rest depends on how fat you are🤔good shit ib's
