In November 2023, it was discovered that the author had defamed a fellow author who was also serialized in the same magazine. Furthermore, the author had harassed his ex-partner's brother. He was caught and the matter was settled in court. It was also revealed that he had created a fake account impersonating the brother and used it to say terrible things, ultimately leading to the brother's dismissal from his job. Although it is disappointing that the author never seemed to learn from his mistakes and spent too much of his energy harassing others instead of focusing on his manga, it is also unfortunate that he passed away before he could improve himself as a person.
