He spent a lot of time in a bunker playing in his game station. That's where "Bunker Harry" originated. Wills had a full licence and although he wanted to serve on the front line, he couldn't. He was part of search and rescue for a number of ceasefire becoming a working Royal. Harry shat on the army but revealing his supposed "kill count" a disgusting think to do. Put a target on the back of the British Army, the British public and the working Royals. He was left out of the Sandhurst book because he betrayed his country. This is also a "paid award" which was edited quickly on Wikipedia. He made a donation, he got an award. There are many young unsung heroes who lost their lives in the battle of Britain Very little flying time before they faced enemy guns. Some of them still in their teens !!!!How can he be classed alongside those who DID fly and gave their all? My brither was a navigatorr during WW 2 in the Pathfinders . They flew before the bombers and dropped their flares to show the bombers where to drop their bombs After he died (not during the war ) we discovered he had been mentioned in dispatches for distinguuished service and had a commendation from the King We have NO idea why ,he never talked ahout it !!. He was not the only such brave service man who served their King and country, It's an insult to all who have served with valour ( I include all the civilian volunteer fireme etc who riked their lives) to award this honour to Harry who served twice in Afghanistan NOT two terms !! which would probablyhave amounted to MONTHS for a real serviceman or woman!!

Harry took helicopter training and spent a few weeks flying a helicopter as a co pilot gunner. Dozens of others did longer and more dangerous flights than Harry. Buz Aldrin spent years training to be come an astronaut after lengthy aircraft pilot training. Why didn't Tim Peake get this award.

This is an affront to anyone who has actually spent an entire tour of duty in theatre!! H spent 3-4 months TOTAL time in country endangering his fellow soldiers. Meanwhile, REAL soldiers tours of duty were 10-12 months in duration, so his 2 tours did not even equal ONE tour for a non-protected person... His Uncle Andrew at least FLEW his helicopter as a decoy to draw enemy fire so his fellow soldiers could get on with the business at hand. He is more of an AVIATION legend then the witless ginger!!!!

How about you get your facts straight. First of, a military tour of duty is on average 12 months, but can range from 6 - 18 months. Haznoballs served 10 weeks in 2008 and 20 weeks in 2012, so he visited Afghanistan, became Bunker Harry and was able to leave the base any time there was drug testing to be done. He was a gunner, not a pilot - otherwise he wouldn't have been able to shoot those 25 Taliban. Plus being protected 24/7 by his special group of Gurkha soldiers. Btw, he slept through the attack on his base!!! He bought the award!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The award is so ridiculous. I live in the one of the original 'astronaut; neighborhoods in Clear Lake, TX. Literally. Our neighborhood pool is shaped like the capsule. Tour buses used to come through. Those men were amazing. True pioneers - their wives had to be troopers too! Harry has no place getting an award like that. I hope he and Meghan had to pay a lot for the pathetic publicity.
