I saw this family bringing in groceries while driving by and could barely see their house from the overgrowth of the trees and weeds. I turned around and hopped out of my truck to offer to clean it up completely free of charge for them. At first, they declined because they were going to mow the next day, but I let them know that I would trim up all the trees for them and edge the front as well. They told me I could do it and I spent the next 6 hours on this property giving it an awesome transformation.

I have a quick question, I’ve seen you use a strimmer to buzz chain link fences to get rid of plant life on them many times without issue, every time I’ve tried this the line has caught and it throws the strimmer into the air rather violently. I own a two stroke petrol strimmer it’s fairly heavy duty, is it the different type of strimmer you use or just higher skill level and practice?

I've been watching this channel and your power washing for a while now and began tackling our recently purchased home's lawn and the overgrowth. Dude.... I have a new found respect for everything that you do, because it is not an easy task at all. I have a very large yard that has been neglected for better part of 20 years. And, as you might expect after that long of neglect, that it is taking me forever to get a handle on at my age. My wife has CP and can only help so much with the bulk of it but we pull our inspiration from your channels and she even enjoys watching with me. God Bless your service to your communities.

There is a spray that kills poison ivy/sumac/oak. but you have to spray it and let it set. Be very careful, even if its dead, you can still get the oils on your skin/clothing/tools. Absolutely do not burn it, just throw it with your brush pile. If you find yourself touching any parts of a poison plant while working outside. finish what you are doing, then immediately get showered with cold water & Dawn dish soap (to include any and all clothing you were wearing to include shoes & eyewear). Wash all contaminated items in cold water & high heat. Lastly wipe down all yard tools with cold water mixed with Dawn & allow to dry fully. I have some that I encounter in my own yard and in the community areas I help with, I learned after twice (in 10 years) getting a serious infection (required steroids & prescription creams) from the blisters, not to mess around with the poison plants. I still work outside & just ensure I am cautious and wash myself, clothing & tools thoroughly with cold water & Dawn. This is a reminder I need to buy more poison spray!

Amazing job as usual. I'm sure the family was thankful that they had one less thing to worry about this week. It's always a help with a growing family because the responsibilities are never ending.

...........I can't believe the amount of work that you do for these people and all at no cost to them. You are a very generous person and they're very lucky to have someone like you happen by and give them an outstanding offer of cleaning up their yards. You are a very selfless person, I can't say enough about you and the work that you do. I hope that they come back to you in the future to have you return to maintain their property........only this time to pay you for your effort. You do very good work, it's obvious that this is what you do for a living, the work is THAT good. Best of luck to you. Steve

When dealing with Poison ivy use Tyvek suits and latex gloves. A hard hat with a face shield may be a good idea. No weed wacker just hedge trimmer. mulch with the mower first then do the rest of the yard. Degrease equipment and wash, wash, wash, exposed skin., Poison ivy oil is like axel grease, wash and rub with rags.

I was using the blower myself (which I’m not prone to do) and realized how loud it is. I hope you are using or consider using hearing protection.

Wonderful work on that huge lot! If they were "going to mow it tomorrow", why didn't someone come out and at least help you move limbs and greenery? Or even just offered to help? Oh, well. You did a nice clean up for them.

I am loving your videos. It's so nice and kind what you do! Next time you run into Poison Ivy, you should keep one of those full body painter's suit, gloves, eye protection and mask. That way you will be safe and be able to deal with it.
