I don't understand why the "victim" had to lay there where the guy was trying to use the phone. It looked like there was plenty of room in that cell. I'm sure there is more to the story, but from what I saw the much older, self proclaimed "Jarhead" should've had a little more self control and deserved what he got.

My oldest son was a 20+ years addict. When he was arrested the last time, he was about 105 lbs. That was 10 years ago. He's been clean for 10 years and weighs close to 200 lbs, owns his own roofing company and hires recovering addicts to teach them skills of the trade and life skills. He's a drug counselor and has re-written the drug program for our local drug court.

I was in and out of jail, too Many times in the 90s, up to 2007, All drug charges, been sober 14 yrs. Booking is hell. U sit there for up to 8 hours and if u don't bond or ROR out, you just want to get up to a "bed" and sleep, by the time they arrest me and drive me all the way to 49th street jail, I'd be sober by then. They make u sit in the back of hot cop car for up to 2 hours ( whike they talk to their buddy's that they called for back up for no good reason, im female 5'4 and never resisted) before they even take you, its hell and that before u even get booked. Don't do drugs, obey the law or don't get caught, jail sucks. I watch these and am glad I don't have to go thru this, or witness these things first hand anymore. The guards just need more training. During a 12 week private paramilitary survival and endurance course we were tased and sprayed so many times that by the end of the course that we could put two 15 round mags on target while taking a 30 second ride on a taser pulse, and OC spray or powder would just make your eyes sting a little and clear your sinuses. @@georgepowe4898 that's a good idea, but some corrections officers are qualified for corrections, the police & deputies, are for being officers. It is hard enough to keep certified corrections officers, as is...not all jails have certified peace officers, most officers didn't go through their much more rigorous training, to be in corrections, even though they both present very similar challenges. COs should be trained more, but as of now, there's a shortage almost everywhere. Derek Shaw is a flat out ass to inmates. He does his best to antagonize them then gets his thrill when they finally respond. If he acts like this on camera, can you imagine what he does when the camera goes off? He definitely needs to be looking for a different job.

37:40 Yolanda McCleary used to be on the show Cold Justice with the legendary former Harris county prosecutor Kelly Seigler. They travelled around the country helping different departments reinvestigating cold cases. It was on CMT the first few seasons and then went mainstream. She is an amazing crime scene investigator and has the ability to read a crime scene like no one else I've ever seen.

Hey, I hate it when people put narcotics into my socks or my purse or my pocket without telling me, you know? 😂 (And yes, I'm kidding. I can't take narcotics because I'm allergic to ALL of them except for Dilaudid in very, very tiny quantities taken alongside IV Zofran, a very powerful anti-emetic. It makes having surgery interesting. I've had two major abdominal surgeries now with only Tylenol and/or Advil as my pain relief.)
