There was a privately owned ice cream shop I used to frequent (around 2010). He was a nice man, though from our conversations I knew his shop wasn’t doing too well. After getting my order, I realized I had forgotten my Debit Card and he said to simply pay him back later. With absolute conviction I said I would pay him back today so I wouldn’t forget, drove home, grabbed my DC, and drove back and paid. Fortunately I did, because he closed down about a month later.

I have been watching for years, I still am so entertained every time, Milad will never run out of stories!

Well I'll never forget, the man behind me in line payed for my sandwich for me. It was a really kind gesture that I haven't forgotten after ten years. If I'm ever in a similar situation, I intend to pay that kindness forward.

The first time I couldn’t pay for something was before I got my first debit card and all I had on my was cash. I didn’t have enough to pay for my friend’s ice cream and promised to come back later, I went back the next day with extra cash to pay back what I had to. It happened to me at an Indian restaurant near my job. I frequently call to place an order but they never ask for my name (about once every two months, sometimes more). Each time I come by they just know and hand me my order. They don't even know my name so I don't know how they know. One time I forgot my card and I was so upset about it. The food was already prepared and I didn't want them to be in an awkward position. The boss just gave me the food saying multiple time that "there is no problem" and to just pay for it when I could. I was the one asking for their bank information so I could send the money (I don't have the app on my phone to do it right away). I asked for the amount and everything and as soon as I got home I did it on my computer even adding a nice tip. They were so relax and friendly like the boss was certain I would do it even if nobody really knew me. I really felt blessed to be trusted this way. Incredible people.
