It was so different from anything he ever learned about the golf swing. He struggled with inconsistent contact for a long time (fat - thin - pulled shots) but after this lesson he was hitting straight and ripping the ball pure.

At SagutoGolf, we believe golf is life - and life should be enjoyed.
To play your best golf ever, you need a roadmap that gets you there. SagutoGolf helps you build a powerful swing that’s easy on your body and produces addicting contact with the golf ball shot-after-shot.
Because life is too short to play bad golf.

I've spent a mint in private classes, training gadgets (remember the Straight Stick?) and it doesn't come close to how my game has improved by simply watching your FREE lessons. Part of my day now consists of watching your videos and IMMEDIATELY going to the range to apply what I've learned. I was dedicating a seemingly eternity practicing the wrong technique with frustrating results and now I'm actually using the time to improve and to have the knowledge to self-correct. Many, many thanks!

Welcome to "the dark side", where the spoils of "conventional" instruction - chronic inconsistency, physical pain, and endless frustration - yield to the fruits of body-friendly enjoyment of this great game for a lifetime. 😎 Seriously, I sincerely appreciate your kind words, and I'm very glad to know that my instruction content and teaching style are resonating with you!! Thanks so much for your support in sharing your improvement and keep up the great work!! 💪💪 Tom PS: If you've not already joined, have you considered enrolling in the online school and taking your learning - and your game - to the next level? It definitely won't cost you a mint! The school is where - in addition to detailed lessons and drills that take you through the entire swing step-by-step, position-by-position from setup to finish - you'll find diagnostic tools for identifying/resolving swing and ball flight issues when they arise, plus advanced level instruction, and much more. Thousands of men and women from across the globe - including many accomplished, low-handicap, competitive players and spanning all age ranges from junior to super-senior - are now enjoying the best golf of their lives as a result, and their unsolicited testimonials tell the story quite well: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolfreviews. At just $14.99/month or $149.99 per year the value in terms of what you get for that price point is beyond comprehension, and based on proven results it represents by far the best golf instruction deal on the planet.

I’ve been watching Thomas‘s videos for a while and they’ve all been good. Today I watched this video and then went to the driving range. I actually hit a driving range ball over 200 yards. With a 4-iron. 20 years ago I could hit my four iron 195 yards. I can’t wait to play golf this weekend. I recommend Tom’s videos to anyone that will listen to me even if they don’t play golf.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Incomplete and/or improper shoulder action is not an issue specific to Stack and Tilt. If anything, the S&T setup and motion encourages a full and proper turn. Why? … more AROUND, less DOWN ☝🏻 Thanks (again), Tom 🙏🏻 Keep it crispy “Saguto Master” 😂 (in the Comments) … I love it

Thanks Mike - I'm glad this lesson clicked with you! YES - as long as we preserve our relationship with the ball we are going to have the appropriate amount of tilt in the downswing. Problems occur when we try to force more tilt or - in Dave's case in this lesson - the shoulders are not working properly. What a difference once we got that fixed, right??!! I couldn’t put it (Stack n Tilt) all together until I saw the previous lesson; straighter trail leg. Hey Tom. Been golfing over 45 years. Fully committed to your system less than a month ago. Shooting in the low 70s consistently. The one question i have is, and i dont know if its because my weight is forward, i will hit an occasional hossel rocket with irons. Any thoughts? Thanks
@SagutoGolf
@SagutoGolf Сағат бұрын
Glad to have you onboard, Mitchell, and nice playing!! 💪💪 Your occasional shanks can be the result of a variety of actions: 1) You may be too steep on the downswing and thereby exposing the hosel to the ball; 2) Conversely, your downswing path may be too in to out; 3) You may be rolling the face open or snatching the club inside with the hands in the takeaway; 4) Your wrists may not be hinging properly (which is often the case when a golfer tries to manufacture or force the hinge rather than just allowing it to happen); 5) You are setting up with the ball positioned at the heel of the club; 6) You are losing your pre-established relationship with the ball (i.e.: a deficiency in the Tilt component); 7) More... What I'm getting at is that there are a number of potential causes, and without actually seeing your swing it's impossible for me to identify the culprit behind those hosel rockets. By the way, if you've not already joined have you considered enrolling in the online school and taking your learning - and your game - to the next level? Always centered. We address the ball stacked shoulders over hips over knees with our weight balanced 50/50. We then simply bump our hips one inch towards the target while keeping everything else in place. This presets a little more weight forward while preserving the stacked relationship. While there are certainly videos on my channel that address this topic, a better option would be my FREE mini course “The Top 3 Things You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker”: go.saguto.golf/ It's a great way to gain a fundamental understanding of this system as well as an introduction to the instruction style that has thousands of men and women from across the globe - including many accomplished, low-handicap, competitive players and spanning all age ranges from junior to super-senior - enjoying the best golf of their lives: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolfreviews Tom

Hi Brett, First of all, I do my best to convey multiple “feels” or thoughts throughout the swing wherever possible. We're all different physiologically and psychologically, and something that resonates effectively with one golfer may not necessarily work for another. As such, it is important to understand that the lessons on this channel - while fully aligned with the swing method I teach - address a variety of topics, issues, feels, and/or common flaws/fixes from one episode to the next. The lessons and drills provide the guidelines and set the boundaries, while allowing ample leeway for each individual golfer to infuse and exercise their own uniqueness. With regard to comments about Bryson and other top players, in actuality the body-friendly, powerful, low-maintenance swing system taught here is rooted in physics, geometry, and human physiology, and it is modeled on empirical observations of the game's greatest ball strikers. As such it does not discriminate by age or ability - from kids to seniors and everyone in between, inclusive of the best players in the world. Watch any Tour event on TV and you'll see a significant number of players executing these motions, a fact corroborated by just how many of them have a very centered swing with the lead knee flexing and the trail leg straightening during the backswing, their lead arms on or very close to their tilted shoulder planes, and their hands deep behind their trail shoulder at the top. Thousands of folks across the globe - including many accomplished, low-handicap, competitive players - are now enjoying the best golf of their lives as a result of learning this swing system through my online school, and their unsolicited testimonials tell the story quite well: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolfreviews. Compare and contrast that with the sad reality that despite all the advances in equipment, technology, golf course grooming, etc. the average golfer still struggles to break 100. Epic failures within the realm of “conventional” instruction, perhaps??? So many misconstrued and/or misguided teachings - such as taking the club straight back, turning the shoulders level while independently lifting the arms, shifting into and torquing against a firm trail side, firing the hips, actively rolling the hands through impact, etc. - have relegated generations of golfers to the vast abyss of inconsistency and chronic frustration (and chronic back/knee/hip pain as well). Here is a link to my FREE mini-course “The Top 3 Things You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker” in case you’re interested in learning some key aspects of the swing system I teach in a more structured manner: go.saguto.golf/ Thanks for your question! Most students play better with a double-overlap grip (takes right hand dominance out) .......and because they are never going to be a pro they shouldn't take left arm back past 10 o'clock on back swing (but should hinge wrists at top/back of back swing)....don't poo-poo this advice because that shorter backswing pays BIG dividends especially with the shorter clubs.....yup...thanks for listening to an old man who was at one time known

@SagutoGolf
@SagutoGolf Күн бұрын
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I appreciate your thoughts. With regard to backswing length, as I often tell folks key in this regard is to get to - but not go beyond - our body's natural stopping point in the backswing where the tilting, turning, and extending motions are complete, the lead arm has crossed the chest 45 degrees, and the wrists have properly set without any forced or contrived action. This is the point where if we were to try to go any further any or all of the following will occur: 1) the lead arm will bend and/or lift 2) the wrists will break down 3) the lead knee will kick inward towards the trail side 4) the lead shoulder will level out and lose its orientation towards the ball 5) weight will shift into the trail side and bring the low point back with it, resulting in inconsistent contact and unpredictable ball flight. 6) you'll "chicken wing" and/or flip through impact 7) pain, discomfort, and/or possible injury We don't need to force ourselves to get to "parallel" with this swing, and fighting our body in an attempt to do so will result in some combination of the above issues. If we execute this swing properly we will have created width and plenty of distance for that club to travel by taking it in deep, and that enables us to then harness the tremendous power source known as "angular momentum". Thanks again for your message! Tom

@@SagutoGolf LOL..... detailed explanation and 100% true.....LOL ..... that chicken wing is a problem for sure....but many great players have played with a "soft" lead elbow....many of the great short-game artists were right-hand dominate 50-60 yards and in...... Of course modern equipment has made a big difference....did you know Jack played a regular flex?he tried stiff and X but "felt" he was better with regular in steel.....
