love those old dog tags, nice silver, saw that watch fob (which is awesome) on wilddiggers channel, buttons, and that old ring is pretty cool. you can definitely see patters like leaves and other things purposefully put on it. Very interesting. I'm off to a high ridge overlooking the city we think we may find some Civil war stuff at. We found one camp in the area, so I'm excited. Dig it all and great video.

Very cool! I love that FOB. And interested to hear what people think that copper ring is. My thought was less interesting, but I hope its Arthurian!! (My thought is late 1800's or early 1900's piece from a light, lamp or appliance that connects two larger pieces. That gauge around it may have been an attempt to tighten it at some point.

What are the basic rules to metal detect in any other place than your own property? Is there a specific way you should handle items once you find them for cleaning or preservation? That bronze ring at the end definatly looks like a Roman ring made out of a Denarius coin or somthing like that it defo looks very very old put it that way HH and GL
