A ban on all tournaments is appropriate. Theft of anyones gear is low. We play together to grow our sport not to tarnish it with a bad apple.

I had a Westwood autococker stolen out of my jeep years ago along with a couple other guns. Posted the picture, and serial number up on pbnation back in the pre-Facebook days. 2 years later I get a message from a guy who worked at one of the local fields about my gun. The kid tried to sell it at the field, and the guy behind the counter knew the gun and got his contact info and said he'd give him a call. He got ahold of me, I called the cops and a couple days later I had most of my stuff back. That was probably 20 years ago at this point, still have the westwood and take it out to play with at least once a year.

are you saying mike hinman is one of the paintball godfather?! lol NO! Charles Nelson, Hayes Noel, and Bob Gurnsey. In the early 1980s, the trio developed the concept of a game where players would shoot capsules filled with paint at each other as a recreational activity. This led to the formation of the National Survival Game (NSG) company, which organized the first official game of paintball in June 1981 in Henniker, New Hampshire. The popularity of paintball grew rapidly after its inception, leading to the formation of various paintball leagues and organizations dedicated to the sport. Charles, hayes and bob are the god fathers of paintball
@WillBallForSoup4 ай бұрын
Definitely misinterpreting godfather vs founding father. You definitely are on point with who started this game we love. Godfather is more of a power broker. He builds pro players runs the best divisional series and used to own a paint company.
@ExelArts4 ай бұрын
@@WillBallForSoup back in 2008 we called the founding fathers the godfathers of paintball I'm not misinterpreting anything that's just what players called them as there's no one in the sport that's done more for paintball then them the founding fathers or godfathers of paintball also played a significant role in developing and popularizing the sport. They helped establish rules and guidelines for paintball games, promoted the sport through media and advertising, and organized paintball events and tournaments. They also worked to improve equipment and technology, leading to the development of more advanced and efficient paintball gear. Additionally, they fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among paintball enthusiasts, helping to grow the sport and establish it as a mainstream recreational activity. One notable example is Bob Gurnsey, who co-founded the National Survival Game (NSG) in the United States in the early 1980s. The NSG organized competitive paintball tournaments and helped establish a structured format for the sport, including rules, rankings, and championships. The success of the NSG and other early paintball leagues played a significant role in popularizing paintball as a competitive sport and attracting more players to the game. Bob Gurnsey, one of the co-founders of the National Survival Game (NSG), later went on to establish his own paintball company called Brass Eagle. Brass Eagle became one of the leading manufacturers of paintball equipment in the 1980s and 1990s, producing markers, paintballs, and accessories for players worldwide. Hayes Noel, another co-founder of the NSG, also stayed involved in the paintball industry and founded the company Pursuit Marketing, which supplied promotional items and apparel to the paintball industry. While Charles Gaines, the third co-founder of the NSG, did not own a paintball company himself, he continued to be involved in the promotion and organization of paintball events and tournaments.

I had a Marq 6 stolen from me 17 years ago and I still post about it once or twice a year in the hopes I can somehow get it back. It was unique as I got it from Zach Long before they were officially released and there is a small imperfection on the body where someone left a thumbprint on accident.

I have had 6 guns stolen over 25 years of playing paintball. Unfortunately, this is a plague in paintball. It's an expensive hobby/sport, and the have nots will always have some bad apples. I have had an Evo autococker, SFL autococker, orracle autococker, a PTP autococker, Empire intimidator and an ANS Gx3 brand new in the box stolen. I have had a 68/4500 tank stolen also. The most recently stolen thin was a I5 Dye mask stolen. I'm not the only guy who has suffered this crime before, but as a community we need to look out for each other as well. I pay attention to others parked near me and note who is at the car or eazy up, if i see someone walking up to these places who i haven't seen before, i call them out.

I think a lifetime ban for the WCPPL is fair vs being charged for stealing someone's property. Too be honest it's almost too easy on the player. If the NXL/MLP and APPA all get onboard with this I think it would be a solid warning to others. Now if the player being accused of stealing the marker did in fact purchase the marker on marketplace he should easily be able to prove himself innocent with a payment transaction or chat history....if he can't prove that then he got off lucky for not being charged. Moral of the story everyone, be nice, work hard, don't be a scumbag.

My dream was running my own business and it fell through because of an injury so I get it. It's not over for you though, if you want to be in the industry you just need to be your own brand and make your own waves. Make your own products and have a brand. Controversy is okay, and it's fine to have strong opinions but there are times when you need to think about how your actions impact your future. You shoot yourself in the foot a lot for not much monetary value. I'm not saying you need to keep things to yourself or not be open but the way you deal with backlash isn't really realistic. The industry isn't against you, you keep putting yourself in bad positions to make some youtube videos. Your content is alright, you have potential regardless of the things that have gone sour with paintball, you just need to be realistic in the sense it's not worth ruining your future to bash big companies like PE, Team Owners, other individuals that have been in it since the beginning.

People always ask me if putting all my gear in not using (plus paint) in a cooler, putting a security lock with 2” long by 1” thick shackle through it is overkill. Not at all. A full high end kit costs upwards of 3 grand. I think buying a $30 lock to secure it is worth it.

There's a couple of pieces of Intel on this. Vince felt he was being suppressed or stifled by his relationship with the NXL. There was a rumor he was not able to promote LTPB while doing NXL co branded content. I also hear he was bitched out for using APPA profile pictures. His beef with iconic likely never resolved either. All those things combined with no real income from creating paintball content lead to his disappearance. Vince and I remain on good terms.
