I learned in law enforcement classes that charges are based more on intent than actual damage (example given being that if you plan to rob a bank, gear up, and turn back the moment you get to the door, you’d still be charged for the crime); Why’s this case different?

The little girl was four, and I was helping her wash her hands in the bathroom. That’s when she told me her uncle… The man I have been dating two years… Was being shall we say inappropriate. Her parents didn’t believe me. Nobody did I was labeled the angry ex girlfriend. I hate CPS but that’s who I had to call to get her removed from the situation. Later he would be convicted and do 10 years. I’m glad someone cares about these kids.

Self control is the best way to deal with it though because if you act friendly and try to gain a sort of rapport you get more information from them. It's a great trick and allows you to catch more of them whereas if you lose control you can get in trouble with the law
