I will say as a former micro center employee and customer for life, the sales staff there are trained to know the products, approach and initiate conversation, find the customers needs and find them the right product. We always ragged on the Best Buy stand around "method". We also weren't supposed to up-sell any products, rather just push our service plans (whether you buy product insurance or not, the plans at MC are phenomenal). That being said a lot of new customers go in expecting a Best Buy experience and will blow you off if you approach.

I work at a non corporate (indirect) Verizon, we still let people in and we never closed. the IPhone SE 2020 is the newest one. Came out a few months ago. It has the shell of an iPhone 8 but the insides of a iPhone 11. That's the one you want if you still want a home button. IPhone 12 is about to drop, I would wait for that in a month or so.

All anyone here would need to do is a 5 second google search to know he got a new phone. Look, the only crime here is you spent 3 hours at Verizon when the entire process should take at most 30 min

iPhone SE (special edition) is equipped with the A13 Bionic chip. The same used in all iPhone 11. The iPhone SE is Apples fastest phone. The fact that it only has 1 camera is no problem. Images processed on powerful A13 Bionic processor are clear and defined. It's only $400 and l own one. I also own a iWatch 5 for $500. Who needs a iPhone 11 for 1k+?

U don't go to a Verizon store and they tell u what to by. U do go there with common sense. If u don't, ur an idiot. The rep at the store is there to get u the phone u want, make sure u r on a plan that fits your usage and make sure you understand how to activate it and answer questions if u don't know how to transfer your old data to your new phone.
