Like, to some this could seem to an a-hole comment, but that's a very strong way of thinking that is from someone who honestly seems to want others to get better. Great video! Part of what Kurt is saying here is if you think they want to dive you, then you sit back and wait for the enemy team to dive THEN GO IN! Thoth is tough but if you keep a sentry on you for team fights place it then you know they can or can’t see you. Play around your vision. I’m not good at smite but even I got masters. Just think things through for 5 seconds and ward and you’ll climb!

Yeah, the maining one god til you get it, works. I did that to learn what to do with each class (Mages with Scylla, Assassins; Susano etc, etc) before I even knew who weak3n was, I wish more people would adhere to that advice.

I played loki years ago as my main when I started playing the game, I played arena because I was confused about conquest at the time. Once I was able to build, kill and escape without dying consistently I went to conquest and was somehow actually decent at even though I wasnt sure exactly what to do besides attack the titan. Now I know almost all the gods abilities and have no problem playing any role

As a jungler……it’s so hard to play with mid laners like this lol. Sit tower and safely poke and play overly passive early/mid game….never willing to go in on any fights….is asking to get snowballed. He had bottom damage and He Bo was right in front of his tower all early game…..

They should buff thoth ult, extra 50 damage would be enough. I can't tell you how many times someone wins a trade with 10 Hp after I hit then with a fully charged ult.

Is it wrong to go to Arena and learn builds and gods before heading over to conquest? Or should i just rip the band-aid off and go straight into conquest?

Arena and assault you'd get more experience pure team fighting, you'll get more experience learning what gods do and how to fight them in a group. Conquest you'll want to make sure your focusing on farming, warding, objectives, rotating, positioning is different ect. Just Assume nobody knows what they are doing in conquest so jumping into it blindish isn't a big deal it's going to be a clusterfuck regardless just learn from videos like this not your random teammates.

I don't think anything i did annoyed them. I think they knew i'm a plat player so they wanted to show me what it is like in the big boy lobbies to see if i can hold my own. But i def won't be playing a non meta god if i make it to another elo hell.

the reason people are saying hes not bad is because its all relative, compared to a gold player hes really good, compared to these players he struggles but overall he isnt a bad player, he just isnt quite up to scratch with masters or high diamond players and you could see a lot of it is confidence, yes he counterpicked himself but if he just changed a few things it would make a big difference

you say he picked thoth into the comp but the only real dive god they had selected was thor when he picked thoth maybe you could argue he could have predicted the dive comp but idk if thats enough to say he picked into it. Past that i agree his positioning was very bad and he was playing too passive cuz he's intimidated by the better players cuz he knows they can kill him.

see this still doesnt make sense to me cause they entire lobby knows to and does focus the person you have in "ello Hell" way more than in a normal match so how is this a good judge of anything when you know going into a match that this player is most likely lower skill and a entire team picks them as there target even if they where close to skill level of the rest of the players they are gonna be set back and have a harder match than what would be normal.

I wish you'd do a silver ranked series, where I am lol, because I think this is where you could totally change the way we play in the lower ranks. I watch all of your videos. I have a terrible record and I am beginning to hate playing the game while loving it still. If you're looking for the real worst player in the game, not by ranking, check me out lol. listen, im not pro... but there were a few times (many actually) where he was grouped and couldve just stood behind his team launch his abilities and chunking the enemies down. Man his positioning was really bad. Reguardless if he was nervous after early game, like youre better off doing damage than standing aside and not doing anything to help

Man i never realized why i was even decent was because i played medusa only for like a year and a half like. I have timings down and everything i just have alot of misc things im jot really good at especially after not playing smite for a year or 2 i would obly play like 1 or 2 games here and there. But regardless i feel comfortable with any god and i do play alot of different gods now. So now i just never get bored but i used to when tanks would get blown up no matter what you did lmao

Arena and assault should only be in the rotator playlists, and even then, it would only be the wacky versions. Slash is basically what the arena tries to be. It's the most casual fun gamemode in smite

Have you thought about trying elo hell without the player knowing they're doing elo hell? For example, you take the elo hell player and put them into an elo hell game without their knowledge and just make it seem as if you needed another player to fill the lobby in the rank they're currently in. This way they don't have the excuse of "nerves" or play differently than they normally do since they know they're playing against good players.

I see matches like this & wonder how these people even made it to Plat. I understand he was playing against better players, and so they were dunking on him, but his basic decision making just seemed off in general. It seems like he's just used to things being reversed, where he's a higher skill level than those around him.

You should definitely do a few games of practice. Then go casual to feel it out. If you're putting hours into ranked play then you probably care, and can take your bumps outside of it.
