Derek was being stupid. Even if his wife HADN'T found out, did he ever consider his boss would eventually find out sooner or later and Fire him? Not the best way to get a promotion, is it?

Derek was for self only! And the mistress was very naive. Why give up a good husband for a affair. And to invite the mistress and husband to your house for dinner was very disrespectful. Never cheat it always come to light.
