I thought it’s dangerous to cover the exhaust pipe because then the fumes would come back inside the car and you could die from carbon monoxide. Those fumes have a exit for a reason.

You would have to completely block off the exhaust and it will pressurize the crankcase polluting your oil with excessive amounts of hydrocarbons. It can't get into your air intake because that is pressurized as well. It will cause an exhaust gasket to leak before it gets into the air intake.

@@rosecity_chris not even close to allowing all the exhaust to escape. Only a very tiny portion. Still dangerous to any occupant that breathes the CO2.
