Yeah, like @agilezero5457 said, it's been an in-joke for years. Not just to settle debates of who's "best girl", but also as a nod of respect to him for helping build one of the best agencies that gave us so many memories. There's also several other jokes that added to the meme, like when a salty streamer tried to "own" holofans by tweeting "you think you're giving money to a cute girl, but it's actually going to this guy." and posting a picture of Tanigo. People then responded with "So instead of my money going to a cute girl, it's going to BEST GIRL? I see this as an absolute win!" Various jokes like that have cemented YAGOO being secret best girl in Hololive.
