Ka pai te to I te rangi, ka rawe te roreka o nga reo, he ataahua te whakarite, te noho o nga reo. I am the composer of this waiata. Engari ka tono tenei ki taku karangarua mana nga korero tapiri. Ko Te Orohi Jocelyn Callaghan tona ingoa. Ko te tapepe pea o ta koutou kawe ko te whakahua tika o te Reo. There are 2 sounds to the letter 'T'. This depends on the vowel immediately after it. The first sound is when the vowel 'I','u'', is immediately after 'T' The second is sounded by a 'td'. To do this you are required to lift the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth and sound the letter 'T', it comes out like a 'TD' sound. It is sounded when all other vowels are immediately after the letter 'T'. I hope this helps. Well done with your presentation. Loved it. When you get the knack it becomes ingrained in you. We were born in a time when Te Reo Maori was as common as air. It was spoken all my life and I am 52 yrs old.
