I’m on the same wavelength with you. I guess Drake’s ego led to his demise. He thought he’s rap genius. He’s mid at best. Kendrick on the other hand, has a lot of artist backings. Also, you can clearly see from his body of work and these recent diss tracks that he’s truly unique and versatile. each of the songs are so different especially the beats! His songs are so deep and poetic. Drake’s sounds all similar which is boring. No substance. Eminem said he’s one and maybe even the best lyricist of our generation (it’s on KZfaq) and the Tupac Heritage Estate Foundation said that based on his character, talented, what he’s passionate about and his activism, which is exactly what Tupac is about, they look at him as his successor. The foundation has his backing 100. This is why when Drake used Tupac’s voice and image in an AI form, they were angry. They sent a cease and desist notice for that video and in the process of suing him because they did not give him permission to do so.
