I'm keenly aware of what it is to live from paycheck to paycheck, as well as how much even $50 can mean. What you don't understand, is that money is not the be-all-end-all. Think about it, what else do you think you'd want if money wasn't the one thing holding you back in life? The people we love and maintain relationships with, both platonic and romantic, quickly realign as a priority. When all your focus is on money, you take those relationships for granted as always being there. That was my only real point. It's a shame that you considered this a prime opportunity to virtue signal rather than to expand your perspective.
