Almost completely obscured by unruly ivy and trees that have been allowed to grow out of control, lies the former mansion of a French painter. 11 years ago, he and his family went into the wide blue yonder, and never returned to their beloving manorhouse. Filled with clutter and treasures from decades ago, their home is now a time capsule from another era. Enjoy another exploration back in time, as we show you the art of decay inside this French estate.

OMG It just hit me, My Dad was diagnosed in the middle of September with Cancer, 3 weeks later he passed and my Mom who had mild Alzheimers before Dad passed but she dropped deep into it just in the few days before his funeral. They had been married 58 years and each was the others everything. But my precious wonderful baby sister took Mom to live with her since I was disabled and could not physically handle it. My demon possessed sister tried to rule things but was shut down quickly but my parents home was left standing the same way as when my Dad went into the hospital. I never thought about it. Thank God my baby sister is good at handling things, she got 3 times more than Mom and Dad paid for the property, which was a 115 years old, sits majestically on the top of the hill over looking the lake. It was paradise to Daddy. It was his castle. But it was left for a year sitting just like they had walked away from it in these cases. It really made me super sad and I have had my cry. I loved their home, I had even lived it in with them 6 of the last 7 years. I have/had the greatest parents on earth, I have been so blessed but in the last 2 years I never saw their home as abandoned until this morning. Now I get it! Tragedy has struck it where it only takes ONE demon possessed sibling to create a disaster of it all. I never ever wanted anything from my parents, they gave me all the love I ever needed and that is all I ever wanted or desire. My demon possessed sister will be the executor and she thinks none of us other children deserve anything from the will and since my son died in the accident last year she will make sure she keeps it all but my baby sister is the only one I am upset about not getting something from the estate from all the sacrifices she has done to take care of Mom. I am so unconcerned about the will also because I had already told Mom and Dad to give my part to my son, so as not to screw up my advisability and such but have talked to a legal advisor and he said when the time comes to just contact the Attorney who wrote the will and he will make sure it is followed according to the law and I will see that what my son was supposed to get she will now get. LOL I told her all I expected was her to buy me a new recliner every 5 years hahaha But then I think again about all of these places you have taken us to, some are so full of so much history and have been handed down through the generations and it disturbs me so much. I know that a friend of mine said her husband would never move or take over her parents estate and I have know people who's children could not afford to keep up their parents estates also others who siblings have fought over the estate and by the time things were handled legally the estate is in disrepair and that makes my heart ache. Okay sorry got off on a strange feeling today and had to get it off my heart. THANK YOU for the grand journey of another abandoned home. This one just made it click to me. Yall stay safe and again THANK YOU!!! I love you dearly

All that destruction; it's so sad. Has any one conducted a document research of the property? You can learn a lot from public records. I love that you don't rush the recording. You are thorough and great narration.

At one time having a fur coat was a symbol of great prestige. Having serval, one of each color and several styles suggests that the family was not poor. They may still be worth money as a museum piece.

Never mis one, always on top of new material. Very nice you show us some FRANCE again. Unbelievable those empty abandoned places exist. That paint you found, has to be oil paint, cause that takes ages to dry (could be drying for 30-40 years!!!) NOTE: that Alpha Romeo 146 is not that old (not a UK car, cause driver side is on the left. Black/dark blue (very old) White and Yellow are colors of France plates)

Heyy there, dear friend Maureno from marvellous team Explomo, it was lovely to see you exploring once again with Remon in this abandoned mansion of a French painter. Of course it always hurts me as well to see the obvious trashing and vandalism traces in such a location. But you still were able to find some very beautiful rooms in a real time capsule condition. - I especially loved seeing the dining room and this remarkably well preserved living room with some very nice antique furniture and beautiful smaller items in the cabinets and on the sideboard. - Wonderful piano! - The branch is the French company "Erard". - Also some of the bedrooms still were looking untouched and very nicely furnished. - Great explore, bro! - I of course also liked your highly thoughtful reflections at the end of the video. - My thoughts concerning your questions, why and how the former owners left their home, are quite simple: I merely think that they might have passed away eventually, and their children didn't want to take over the property due to exorbitant high inheritage taxes. - I hope, you are well and healthy, my dear friends. Stay safe, much love and blessings. - Peace and kindest regards from Switzerland.

Hope you guys have good insurance as you really do take chances and with no protection for your heads!! In spite of the vandalism in the house it is easy to see that it was once quite grand. There are still some beautiful pieces of china, paintings and some lovely furniture. It seems terribly sad to think that before too long it will all be buried when the rest of the place collapses. Thank you for a fascinating visit!! Gill 🇬🇧

What a beautiful, pristine home! Sooo very large & beautiful! The wooden furniture was antique & gorgeous! I loved the staircase & banister! I also loved the breathtaking stained glass windows! With everything left behind as it was, I wonder if possibly they were killed in a car accident or the parents & possibly the family was in some life ending accident!?! It’s odd that other family members would not have gone through their belongings & shared the items with family, sold or donated the toys, dishes & other items! The wife of the house, would be sooo very sad to see that vandals have destroyed & disrespected their beautiful home & property! Karma will catch up with those individuals & this will not go unpunished!!! I don’t have an understanding, how people can get enjoyment from destroying & disheveling other people’s property!?! Maureno & Remon, I truly loved this epic property & all of the contents! Loved the Alfa Romero!!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure with us! I loved it ❤️❤️❤️

Hola Maureno y Remon!!

Incredible!! You immediately notice home of a creative or artistic person. The paintings are just stunning and are the real ‘stars of the show’ on this explore. Having said that the French have a real flair for decorating and making each room easy on the eye. I just loved the dining room with that model ship (that I think is a Chinese junk?) and those fantastic carpets for example. Glad to see Remon got his training in with the dusty weights too! 🤣 It so unbelievably sad and angry to see the vandalism. Even the worst hooligans should have some kind of awe or appreciation for the homes they are privileged enough to see. I’m getting ready for work, so this is perfect to give me a good mood and to make my day start off the right way!! In answer to your question, based on the evidence I’d say it was abandoned either due to high taxes or the emigration abroad of the remaining family. Pure speculation on my part but that is what I think fits the evidence and the complete abandonment of even some treasured family heirlooms and antiques. Great job as always to Maureno and Remon 👍
