I don't understand it. Not after sitting through the trial, hearing everything they did. I can kind of understand the family wanting to 'circle the wagons' & not pile on, or make the situation worse. However, denying reality & the rest of the Murdaugh family still fully backing Alex just looks really pathetic. If they want to & choose to forgive Alex- that's their deal, fine. But going along with the whole charade after he was found guilty is gross. It looks like the 2 other family members that Alex murdered didn't mean much. I could not stand in support of a killer/thief horrible person.

I think he's intentionally attempting to separate himself from his brother, now that Alex has been convicted. Alec is a cold fish. He couldn't stand the fact that Maggie would soon find out about his stealing. If he really cared about Paul and Maggie he would have never done such despicable things in the first place...but it's all about Alec. He should have shot himself and let them live...but he is . In his estimation too important to lose his life He is really insane there is no other explanation. Just look at the lives he has ruined. It won't be long and he will find Jesus and he will practice law helping his fellow inmates. his brother randy knows in his heart he is guilty and his family and friends need to put him in the rearview mirror and say goodbye. It is almost a blessing his mother and father didn't know. May Maggie and Paul rest in peace.

Hardly he'd already stolen millions from clients/company at that point. The way Alex lied to family and friends really did take people aback. They realised they don't know him, but it's tough to take in killing family. Randy should fill lucky to be alive anyone could have been taken out by Alex if he thought at that time it was a good idea. Totally mental, thank goodness the jury found AM guilty. Yes, well said. Everyone who had a part in any cover-ups in his life of crimes, his kids crimes etc, should all be brought to justice. For decades people have been covering for him and his family. All the car accidents Paul was in, even Buster in Stephan Smith's murder. We all know he played a part in that. And yet the whole town was told to keep their mouths shut about what they knew or heard from trusted sources. This brother here, called a friend to tell him to turn in his step son to admit to the Stephan Smith murder. Yet nothing was done. It wasn't just Alex that got away with a lot of things past and present of crimes. but law enforcement enforcement and hire up attorneys and judges should be held accountable as well. No one is above the law. Maybe had the judge out Paul in jail to wait for the trial, he'd still be alive.

Alex and Randy were quickly involved with Stephen Smith's death. They showed up the next day and wanted to represent him for no charge I heard. Another shameful thing that happened, and I mean ""SHAMEFUL" is in another of Randy and John's interviews, they said how sweet and kind Maggie was, and how she was the "glue" in the family; but NOT one of those "MURDAUGH'S" would speak on her (and) Paul's behalf for the "Victim Impact Statement"...Not even her surviving son ""Buster", her "first born son" could get up on that "stand to say something nice about either of them!! "NOT ONE DAMN WORD"!!! They didn't speak because Randy, John, and Bus Bus, or even John's wife Liz, who was very close to Alex and Maggie, and they didn't want poor to Alex to think they were going against him!!! So THAT'S how much they "ALL" truly "loved" "Maggie" and "Paul"!!! Just a disgusting lineage of the Murdaugh family ... Their lives meant NOTHING!!!🤬🤬🤬

I feel like Buster knows more than he is saying. If he was complicit - eventually it’ll wear him down and he’ll break. But Buster needs to be on trial for the death of his friend I feel like he did something to contribute to that. They’re (AM killed Maggie & Paul, PM killed the young lady in the boat crash & RM had a hand in that young man’s death) all murderers.

I think Buster and Paul stalked Stephen that night and Paul hit him in the head with the baseball bat (Buster drove) thus another reason Alec had to get rid of Paul, the loose cannon.. Buster definitely looks like he is holding some dark secrets and was intently watching his Dad when Dad testifying as if he were afraid Dad would slip up

I don’t trust Randolph either. He’s probably trying to get himself away from the situation further by talking against Alex now. remember, he just popped up on the scene ready to represent for the Stephen case. Out of nowhere. Of all lawyers in town and Buster’s connection to Stephen seems like somebody trying to cover something up. They’re ALL shady characters. The whole family is sick. Dead and alive.

Or possibly just an ambulance chaser who saw the opportunity to get a multi-million $$$ payout from the Insurance company of whoever hit and killed the guy once the driver was caught. Sure he offered to represent them free of charge, there is never any charge unless the lawyer wins a settlement and of course he gets a percentage.

I commend Randy for speaking out as hard as it is. This is heartbreaking. He said he has not seen him in a year so to me that speaks volumes. Randy is smart and I believe he knows in his heart Alec did it. This would be so hard when its someone you loved all your life. Family annihilators can “love” their families, but love themselves more! Alec is one thousand percent guilty. He could have stripped just prior to shooting and washed off with the kennel hose. Come on. I somewhat can feel for who's left to pick up the pieces. And I fully believe Randy tried to investigate what happened up to a point. But these declarations are just the first steps to try and buy back some crumbles of virginity and innocence to the family's name. Which I don't think they will. Slowly but steadily they'll try to distantiate themselves from Alec, some of them will, with time, openly disown him. Because even if they lost so much of their status they still are attached to their name, their wealth, the ways they were brought up to. They NEED to clean themselves up from Alec now. Plus, they know some more reckoning is to come and more of them are going to go down..hopefully.
