It is evident therefore that as far back as 1928, the history of coffee growing has been an integral part of the Karunguru heritage. In 1974, their Grand Father and Patriarch (Mr. Kariithi Karekia), bought and took over the 300 acre farm and grew it to 500 acres of a vast coffee farm in Kenya 🇰🇪
Generations have come and gone, and Gitau Waweru Karanja, one of the grandchild of Mr. Kariithi is currently managing the operations of their family coffee Estate as the Director of Karunguru Estate.
He tells me their coffee is the best value added product you can find in the market. They export to countries like Germany 🇩🇪, Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 etc.
