I really hope this hits you right in the chest. If the Lion King Cast is touring near you. GO. Literally, it's worth hours of driving... just go. It's amazing, and profound. "He Lives in You" has been in my top 5 favorite Disney songs of all time since Simba's Pride's release. It is a powerful, profound, spiritual, moving song, and it gives me chills every time I hear it. This collaboration - the arrangement, the vocals, the talent, the uncontainable JOY - brought me to tears. Bravo.

Patchwork Stiltfox People seem to forget that before LK2 or the musical, this song was in the Lion King spin-off soundtrack Rhythm of the Pride Lands. Most people think that it’s written for Simba’s Pride but that is not correct

For those interested, here are some translations I found for what’s being sung in Zulu. Oh oh iyo (Ancestral echoes that imply, “This is it!”) Mamela (Listen) I believe these are what are being sung in the background later in the song while Peter is singing Hela hey mamela (Hey listen) Ubukhosi bo khokho (Throne of the Ancestors) We ndodana ye sizwe sonke (Oh, son of the nation) Disclaimer: I don’t speak Zulu myself, found this after a lot of searching on an African language guide dedicated to The Lion King songs.

This was one of the first songs I listened to after I found out my mom has late stage cancer. She went in for a routine surgery and... even her surgeons were shocked. We’re doing what we can, but we’re also working on some legacy work, having her do videos to us for our birthdays, when we get married, for possible future kids. We’re really fighting to find the good in this, to keep hope and faith. This was a wonderful cover of a song I wish more people knew about. I adored seeing The Lion King in Memphis. It was such an experience. I can’t believe you got to do it with the cast!! And that must have been just so cool to be able to do!

My heart jumped in my throat. So many memories watching this movie at my grandma's. My grandma passed away a few years ago. Thank you for helping me relive the memories. This took me by the hand and lead me back to her townhouse eating apple slices and watching Disney movies from her collection she built just for me and my sisters.

I have the honor of performing this song live in The Lion King Jr at my local theatre (as Rafiki). I just wanted to say that this song has changed my life in so many ways. I have felt a disconnect with my father throughout my life, and this song has changed my viewpoint of him (as well as my relationship with Jesus Christ). This song always meant so much to me, having lost my dad shortly after Lion King 2 came out. When we bought it and the soundtrack I would play it over and over to help me get through how tough it got for my Mom and I. I had no idea that the original song was made originally for the Musical until today after watching the new Lion King movie when I was disappointed they didn't add the song to the movie, even though its in the soundtrack. But when my wife bought us tickets to see Lion King the Musical and they played this song, it made me very emotional. Very well done Peter. This was beautiful.

Yes, it's great, of course, but it's kinda moving for me, because this was the first time I managed to listen to this song in years, respectively since the singer who sang it for the Czech dubbing of The Lion King passed away. I was avoiding this song, because I knew I wouldn't bear listening to it, but... I'm glad you tricked me into clicking on it and I was able to appreciate how beautiful this song is again. Finally a great "He Lives In You" cover! I always loved this song, "Circle of Life" may be the best Disney song out there, but "He Lives In You" is the most powerful Disney song ever! The chills I got everytime I listen to this song cant be put into words, and Peter and the Lion King Broadway cast did a MAGNIFICENT work! You have no idea how happy I am to listen the best cover of this song ever!

I 100% agree with you. This is one of my favorite disney songs ever! *Endless Night* as well. Both these songs from the Lion King are ridiculously underrated in my opinion.

Congrats on this amazing experience! It's so we'll done. I absolutely LOVE this song. I was first introduced to it in Lion King 2 (a legit underrated movie) and then got to see the Lion King tour twice in person, would absolutely go an infinite number of times more.

How amazing is it that you got to sing with the Lion King cast?! I just love it Peter, always one of my favorite songs from Lion King 2. I wish you and Evynne would do "Love will find a way" because it's another favorite and literally no one has done it yet. Also, the 25 people who disliked this video clearly have no taste...what a shame.

StarKiller 56 it was never considered to be put in. It was written for the spin-off soundtrack Rhythm of the Pride Lands, then adapted twice for the musical, then used for LK2

I just saw The Lion King play last night--I had seen the movie before, but this just absolutely blew my mind...! Everything from the actors, to the props, to the costumes, to the songs and musicians--I can't get over it...! All of the actors from the main roles, to the more goofy ones, the dancers, and background singers are immensely talented and I haven't been so moved by a play before until this. I also was amazed at the incorporation of the culture and language into the play in a sense that it was just even 'more' magical! Thank you so much for giving me the ability to have a piece of the play with me to listen to wherever I go...! (PS: The show was amazing, 'she' was amazing, and it did blow my mind.)

@Barakat Oyesola No, it's not. It is featured in second film but it has its origins in Broadway adaptation. The scene with Mufasa's ghost was replaced with this song. Then sequel's directors have decided to use it in their movie. Why do you think the video above features Broadway's cast?
