Glad to see I am not the only one to find this underwhelming. It was not as rage-inducing as Revelation, because they thankfully toned down Teela and Andra is so insignificant she might not even exist in the show at all. But the whole Keldor thing was only a surprise twist to babies, given that 2002 and 2021 MOTU already did this backstory, Hordak was a red herring who got done away in one episode, with the rest of the Horde not getting any lines and Motherboard killed off-screen, Scare Glow was easily beaten in the opening, and we are back again with dumb Skeletor trying yet another power play despite him having literal unlimited power last season... It was boring. Oh and Kevin sure has some blackmail material over Star Trek people, not sure how else he got John DeLancie, William Shatner, Gates MacFadden and Jeffery Combs to all appear in this. And Randor's death has to be the stupidest one ever. "I know the all powerful goddess living next door can cure me, but nah, I'd rather die and then go to limbo because Heaven happens to not exist anymore!"

I agree that there are a number of issues with the plot. I think that the plot point of Randor refusing to let Sorceress Teela heal hm (or at least attempt to do so) was weak. I would have wanted to know what limits on Teela's powers prevented her from healing him or why she couldn't heal him. I also found the plot point of not being able to rule as both Adam and He-Man to be contrived. He-Man is a powered up version of Adam. He's a magnification of Adam's own abilities, not a separate person. Everyone knows that Adam and He-Man are one and the same. No reason is given other than King .Randor thinks it can't be done. (How would he know? He has never had to protect Eternia as He-Man. He says that being He-Man involves going off on adventures, but he seems to have forgotten how many times He-Man defended his kingdon and Castle Grayskull against Skeletor. He also seems to have forgotten about King Grayskull, who seemed to do both fine) Also, not being able to do both contradicts our own history, in which some of the greatest rulers were also warriors (eg, Alexander the Great, Ghengis Khan, Julius Cesar, etc). I would have liked to have known what makes Eternia different from Earth and would prevent He-Man/Adam from ruling Eternia like our warrior rulers did with their empires. It would have caused what Adam does to the monarchy in episode 5 to make more sense. I also find it hard to believe that Adam would simply allow Keldor, a stranger who appeared out of nowhere and had never been mentioned by King Randor, to assume the crown. (Why can't Queen Marlena rule?) Admittedly, the plot holes are not as glaring as in Revelation, but they are still there, and some of them are difficult to swallow
