This will be quite a change of scene to the comment section, but on a serious note, knowing a few alcoholics I need to say that drinking at that level becomes almost an obligation at one point. At some point people feel there is no other option than to just continue every day, because of the insane addictive aspects alcohol has. I do feel bad for him, considering in his mind it might be the only thing he know. To give perspective, the feeling alcoholics have is very similar to Pyrocynical fans watching the first iteration of Petscop and waiting, hoping every day for a sequel.

Honestly the guy's a bit uncomfortable to watch. In the last two years two people in my friend group (mostly in our mid-30s) died, both of them having had drinking problems, contributing to their health issues. Alcoholism shouldn't be underestimated.

Alcoholic in recovery here 👋🏼 At some point it DOES become an obligation. Once your body becomes physically dependent on alcohol it’s game over. The withdrawals are hell on earth and dangerous. Besides benzodiazepines, the withdrawal from alcohol is the only other withdrawal that can actually kill you. Heart rate and blood pressure increases can lead to seizures. Josh is already exhibiting signs that he is at this point. His first video(s) of the day are always very shaky. The tremors are a direct result of alcohol withdrawal. Once he starts drinking the tremors start to lessen. On top of that, Josh has also gotten very swollen, most notably in his face. I’m sure there are other things happening behind the scenes that aren’t pretty. He’s likely dealing with gastrointestinal issues and poor sleep patterns. He’s basically stopped taking care of himself, as well. He often wears the same outfit for several days, sometimes even more than a week at a time. It’s clear that he’s not showering and as we speak, his fingernails are long and dirty and it doesn’t appear that he’s brushing his teeth. Josh needs medical detox and inpatient rehab. If he stopped cold turkey he would be at risk of severe withdrawal symptoms. Alcoholism is a progressive and deadly disease. Without intervention, Josh’s health will continue to decline rapidly. It’s a sad situation.

i knew worldoftshirts / josh in high school, i can confirm that he became popular during like 2021ish. it was my sophomore year and i remember he was freaking out to the entire cross country team about having a tiktok of him eating a cockroach blew up. we were all happy for him but even during high school the fame would get to him. during cross country meets, he would dance in a goofy way on some tables and kids from different schools would stop by our practicing area just to take pictures with him. it was all lighthearted but during spring track meets when he was a senior and i was a sophomore, there was one day where everyone on the team would try taking pictures of him and he would freak out about how they weren't paying him. fast forward a year later, a lot of the good distance runners were graduated but josh still had a part time job as a janitor. i remember listening to music n walking in the halls and he would just appear sometimes whenever i was walking to my ap us history class. i don't know exactly what he was doing during my junior/senior year but me and my friends would check up on him sometimes just to find out he gets drunk on tiktok live.

As a person with drug issues in the past it's hard to get help I always said that addiction would be easy to get off but the body wants it when the mind wants you to stop and you have conflict and it ends in a few ways not all good. 7 years off the drug i had an issue with.

it’s obvious as someone also with ASD. pretty sure the only reason people followed him on tt was to have a socially acceptable way to laugh at a disabled person. but it also seems like he’s the kind of autistic guy that was never told no as a kid so now he’s insufferable. i hope he gets help for his alcoholism, it’s a bigger problem in the ASD community than people think

I feel its really mean to call Josh a degenerate. He very clearly has a learning disability and needs help, when you have a learning disability like that you lack self-control, self-awareness, and other things. I know this because I used to be quite wacky without proper medication and help. But because he's an adult and a grown man, he may not get the help he really needs. People may think he can simply take care of himself since he's an adult. He seriously needs proper medication, therapy, etc. People need help.

Correction about Daniel Larson: his home base is Denver, Colorado, but I believe an elderly man (bob) he beat the shit out of actually exiled him to California. He then made his way to Vegas, then basically did a tour of the US, making it all the way to Houston through ground travel (mostly busses from what I remember). A few months after making it to NYC, he then flew back to Denver to harass bob once again, officially ending the travel arc.
