He was totally fine with giving her a baby, the bare minimum, and walking out when she needed him THE MOST. When it seemed like her nursing pursuits were getting derailed and he no longer had a future meal ticket, he was setting up his other options and started cheating. Her health got better, and she is getting CLOSER to the finish line of graduating and getting her own bag and he's PANICKING because she's about to TRULY see the bum in him and he wants to lock her in before her options EXPLODE post graduation. He's been letting his mind wander and because she hasn't shown a break down or any emotion about the betrayal up, he's worried she's silently planning her exit/getting her lick back and he literally CANNOT TAKE IT. The anxiety of when the other shoe is gonna drop is KILLING him. The ring is 100% and attempt to lock her in. I am so proud of her discernment. Sis, TRUST YOUR GUT. Stack your bread, move out, and go find an incredible partner and step daddy.

That’s literally it! The guilt is eating him ALIVE! But sis is in survival mode and has her head down grinding to get that degree. Once she gets to a better place like you said, she’ll see everything as it truly is. I’m praying for her peace of mind in the meantime and their child. 🙏🏾

I think the only way any one should take someone back after they’ve cheated is if they have done the work to know why they cheated and are implementing practices to prevent it. Because it will work if both people aren’t being intentional about making it work but that’s not often the case. It’s usually one who no longer emotionally invested but staying for superficial reasons. For men that reason is often fear of being humiliated by the homies.

Well u gotta remember it's different from both genders side. As man I can speak for myself, if chose to walk away usually id be labeled as a deadbeat by others and and a failure to my family as a man. Most people won't say "well what happened?" Usually it's assume I cheated on the female or I just failed. A lot of men are scared of being labeled a failure to our household so we'd rather stay and deal with it even though it slowly eats at us, and in some cases we may be subliminally punishing you with snide comments subconsciously or maliciously. But I do want to ask from a woman's perspective what's the fear of leaving. Is it being labeled a single mom ? is it starting fresh all over form 0. I'm honestly curious

@@deathbywings4 it’s probably the fear of starting over and rebuilding life either by ourselves with kids or with someone else. Like a fear of the unknown. It’s hard for single woman . Truly hard. And not having the protection of a man is terrifying as a single woman

i wouldn't call that a sympathy ring if it happened years ago. cheating is shitty in any circumstance, but if you've forgiven him, that shouldn't be a reason why you turn down the proposal. but if you're tired of him and/or the things he's done, let him know or let him go

Dude is projecting HARD. He knows he messed up, didn’t like how strong she was, and wanted her to be this weak individual to make him feel that her tears validates how much she loves him. Problem is, she realized that she can do life without him. He knows that and is begging her to be the typical woman who gets cheated on by the man she loved. You start arguments because her response to you cheating wasn’t good enough for your ego. I’m convinced he’d cheat again if she did react in a way that most women do. I too went through a lupus scare and still am not out of the woods. I was just hospitalized and released today from a surgery gone wrong four days ago, and the way my husband stepped up in our 16 years of being together (eight years of marriage) has simply elevated our marriage to a new height that I didn’t even know we may have been lacking. There’s nothing like unconditional love in your time of need. Bruh needs to be apologizing for his behavior during your time of need, instead of dwelling on something that makes him feel bad. He doesn’t seem to have much empathy when it comes to what she was lacking in the relationship. I feel for her and ultimately, nobody knows what the right thing is to do but her. God bless.
@ari_an_yah
@ari_an_yah 4 ай бұрын
Yeah, cheating is a horrible thing to do married or not and maybe he confirmed what she already knew that he wasn't dependable or trustworthy. I think not accepting his proposal is very wise on her part. The lupus, nursing school and cheating is too much. I am glad she didn't accept the proposal and stays focused on her career since that will be a foundation she can build upon whether with him or not. She will need someone dependable and perhaps it just isn't him and she knows it and this is why no marriage. Unfortunately, a lot of people put the cart before the horse and it just makes decision making that much harder when making decisions like marriage and children. IMHO, people need to slow down and get to know each other before marriage and certainly before having children with someone.

19:04 I definitely was thinking this. The fact that she didn't want to leave because she would rather continue to stay in a relationship that she really doesn't want to be in than to deal with the pain of having to let go. Then on top of that, she still hasn't really dealt with it and now she's burying herself further in nursing school in order to NOT deal with the pain of everything. The whole thing is a mess...

i think the issue that women have with video games is that the men that are habitual with it don't take care of home first or spend less time with them than expected, i don't think it's just the issue of playing the game. one instance that i personally saw when it was just an issue with gaming period was my stepmother telling my pops to stop playing almost in a sense that she felt like it was for kids, but she didn't realize that my father did it to bond with me and my brother.

This is a complicated situation for sure. I do think too often when we get these kinds of situations, we automatically place the writer as the hero and the other person as the villain. When you realize that everyone acts in a way where they do what is right to them and stops themselves from feeling pain, you realize the nuances of these situations.smh

@@egujugapupfh7543 it’s easier to call a reason an excuse because it fits the villain/ hero dichotomy we prefer to live in. A reason is an explanation doesn’t absolve any one of their actions or the consequences of them, just allows the other person to remain human in our minds.

She's living with a man and has a child by him, he cheated on her and she chose to stay, but she doesn't want to get married to him even if he's showing her that he's trying his best to change? She's wasting her time in that relationship because it doesn't seem like she'll ever forgive him. Also, does he work full time? Because she gives the impression that he has a lot of time on his hands. I think they are bored of each other because there is no marriage commitment that holds them together.

Man, don't gloss over the fact she is doing nursing school and a ridiculous cheating man WHILE battling Lupus😤😤‼️ my best friend died of Lupus. This woman is so strong, and imo, also as a cancer survivor who has put up with a lot of male nonsense while battling life alone and working myself to the bone like her, she is being too strong. I agree with you, the nursing school is an escape. For me, bodybuilding became an escape from cancer (and saved my life nutritionally/physically/spiritually) and even cancer became an escape from the people in my life who abandoned and hurt me (including physically) during that time. She needs to free herself and give herself the grace she gave dat man and save it for herself to heal and become fully whole. But major props to her all around.❤

After watching the video, you all gave good advice. I do think the emailer is setting herself up for a blow up later. Or maybe once she graduates and things settle down a bit, she can fully see the scope of her life. She will be forced to be present more or blame the lack thereof on her trying to get acclimated at her new nursing job. I also think her lupus diagnosis is causing her to want to “work it out”. Sticky situation.

I love the show, but the take is wrong. I have survived an intensive graduate school process (Law School) I was in my twenties when I completed and going through that process I was not equipped to give anything in a relationship. If I had kids with someone, while suffering from a complex and difficult disease, while going through nursing school; I would have been a terrible partner. The one thing that she never asked is what did he need to make sure he was safe and secure. He is a man in his twenties, with a woman who is sick, they have a child and she is going through one of the most intensive academic programs that exists. The strange thing is that she thought this would work in the first place. As a married man in his 40s who has three kids and knows what it takes to make it professionally and personally it sounds like the relationship was doomed to fail.

So then yes, she should walk away. She didn't plan lupus, bet the child wasn't planned either. It is no one's responsibility to figure out what you need to be safe and secure in a relationship, he should of communicated his needs instead of cheating. And if he did, he should have walked away instead of cheating. Why does the responsibility of knowing when a relationship will be successful rely on her acknowledging that?

i don't care if im on my death bed i ain't marrying a cheater especially because 99% of the arguments my parents have every week is about what one did in the past all because one cheated before i was born then when one went to jail the other got a lil boyfriend now today they are still together today and i love them both but something needs to give and the problem is it effects my veiw on relationships and on black men sadly tho i know its not all i mean look what im watching but the point is staying after that trust was broken caused wayy more problems than good iv had to break up fist fights before all because my mom decides to depends on this man because he pays the bill or because of us the kids when i would much rather be homeless for a while if that means both can move on and be happy not together and all my siblings are 16 and above we know whats going on and understanding what went on as kid that we didn't know then and it only causes resentment towards one or both parents

Naw women don’t cheat that much as far as I know from the women that I’ve talked to. I think the fact that there are so many cases of men cheating, they assume that there’s no possible way that women could not be doing the same thing. (Even though women are often told they can’t compartmentalize “just sex”). There is this ridiculous narrative that because men aren’t “catching women cheating” but they must just be really good at doing it, when really some dudes are trying to get their lick back from some thing that never happened.. Or maybe they just want to feel like they’re not the only ones doing something wrong in their relationship, that last one is for the paranoid ones. But I also believe there are a loooooot of good men out there to that aren’t trying to cheat on their lady.
