From the Joss Whedon/ Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long Blog panel at Comic Con 2008. Neil Patrick Harris discusses filming the "My Freeze Ray" portion of the film & how awesome working on Dr. Horrible was.
Nathan Fillion also talks about how awesome it was to be a part of it while explaining the true reason he is Captain Hammer (and how he got the part of Mal on Firefly ^_~)

OMG!!! I can't stop laughing!!! I love this. I love Nathan and I love Neil, both amazing actors! I would love to meet Nathan at a convention but with him shooting Castle he won't come to where I'm at. But still love him. Thanks for the clip!

Au contraire, he was very amused. That's why the jokes that followed referred to "that part". "I showed it to Joss once and he wouldn't shut up about it." "That was a great day. The day you got the part of Mal." All funny, and all jokes. :-)

It's no secret that Joss is in love with Nathan's nuts. Go watch "Our Mrs. Reynolds" from Firefly. The part where Saffron's in Mal's room? Yeah, that was written from Joss to Nathan.

Nathan in this series had to play a self entitled douche. I mean in Dr Horrible as Captain Hammer of course in real life Nathan is a very giving and outgoing and down to earth person.
